FishingBooker’s Angler’s Choice Award has always recognized our site’s highest-rated guides. Now, the award has gone to the next level.
The new 2020 Angler’s Choice Award is more exclusive than ever. Now limited to just the top 10% of FishingBooker listings all over the world, it highlights the charters our customers have enjoyed the most over the last year.
As well as honoring charter operators with excellent reviews, it now takes into account the entire experience they offer to customers booking online.
What’s New
Previous Angler’s Choice Awards were given to listings that were rated highly by customers. Now, the criteria is more strict.
Since we first introduced Angler’s Choice, we’ve learned a lot more about how customers like to book fishing charters online. So, we’ve reworked this year’s award to reflect everything that makes a listing stand out on FishingBooker.
While previous awards rewarded listings with great reviews, the 2020 award looks at reliability, customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and the number of reviews from FishingBooker customers in the last year.
To get the award, you need to have achieved the following over the last 12 months:
- At least 7 reviews from FishingBooker customers
- An average review score of at least 4.5/5
- A “realization rate” of at least 70%, meaning most of your trips went ahead
- You responded to at least 90% of your trip requests
2020 has been a tough year for many, which is why we have temporarily reduced the realization rate requirement from 80% to 70%. We hope that this will make the award more attainable – even to those who’ve been hit hard.
Fulfilling these criteria is a big achievement, and receiving the award is truly something to be proud of on a global level!

We’ll let you know via email if you win this year’s award. You’ll receive:
- A new badge on your listing and profile that will make your listing stand out in the search results for the rest of the year.
- Promotional material for your own website, so all your customers can see your achievement.
How to Become Eligible for the Next Award
The awards for 2020 were given on August 20 this year. Next year’s awards will become available at the beginning of 2021 and will be based on what you achieved in the previous 12 months.
As each year’s award looks at your listing’s performance over the last 12 months, now is the perfect time to start working towards the 2021 edition.
