Huatulco, Mexico has a lot to offer when it comes to sportfishing and the best way to experience the bountiful local waters is fishing with Huatulco Fishing Adventures. Operating since 1985, they are one of the most famous fishing charters in the area, providing their customer with unique and custom-tailored fishing adventures.
Join Captain Neri Pinacho on his 25' Angler boat, out of the box in 2010. It can take you and up to 3 other anglers to the best fisheries at the top cruising speed of 30 knots thanks to its twin 140 HP Suzuki motors. The vessel comes equipped with top-quality navigational electronics and safety gear, outriggers, live bait tanks, a fighting chair, and even a multimedia system. It also has a restroom for full comfort on longer trips.
The captain will take you offshore in pursuit of brag-worthy local species, such as Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and many other trophies. You'll get to try your luck with jigging, spinning, popping, trolling, and bottom fishing; the captain will let you in on all secrets of the trade.
You can keep your hard earned catch (except for Roosterfish and Billfish) or release it back into the water if that's more your style. If you do decide to keep the fish, the first mate will be more than happy to clean and fillet it for you.
Huatulco Fishing Adventures will cover all the professional fishing gear, lures, and licenses. You can also get your hands on live bait for an additional $50. Snorkeling equipment is also available. You won't have to worry about drinks either; the captain will offer you anything from water, sodas, and beer.
The only thing you have to bring is a positive attitude and game spirit!

We went out on a half day (5 hour) fishing trip with Huatulco Fishing Adventures and Captain Neri's crew. The crew was knowledgeable and professional. The boat was comfortable and there were plenty of beverages. We caught a Marlin and couldn't be more thrilled! We are having Marlin on the grill tonight. Thank-you for being the highlight of our vacation.

My son and I did a 5 hour afternoon trip and had fun. We managed to catch some nice jack cravelle and bonito. No luck catching any marlin though. Highly recommend this company. They are well equipped and know what they are doing. I would definately book with them again.

I had the privilege of going on a deep sea fishing trip with West Coast Huatulco and from the moment we left the marina, the crew set the tone for an exciting and seamless adventure. Captain Adrián and Ervinn were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure trip was comfortable and well prepared for. The highlight of the trip was hooking and landing a sailfish! Seeing that beautiful fish break the surface, with its majestic sail and powerful movements, it was a battle but the experience was like none other. It took every ounce of strength and focus to bring it in. The crews' expertise really shone through as they helped me land this incredible catch. 5 stars all around!
I communicated with the captain multiple times before booking and discussed several boat options. From the start, I was clear that I wanted something different than the standard all-day trolling with heavy gear and the same lures. I specifically asked about casting bait or lures, fishing closer to shore, or even bottom fishing if the bite was slow. Fish size wasn't important — the goal was to actually fish and stay engaged. I selected this boat because I was told, 'Sure, we can cast for tuna or something,' and that if neither trolling nor casting was producing, we could switch to bottom fishing. That flexibility is what sold me on the trip. Once we arrived, the tone changed quickly. The captain wanted payment immediately and strongly preferred cash; I paid half up front. After that, we proceeded to troll the entire day — the same large rods, same lures, same circles — with no bites, no strikes, and no attempt to change tactics. There was little conversation, no instruction, no adjustments, and no effort to do what we had discussed beforehand. We were given two beers, and that was essentially the extent of the experience. I understand fishing can be slow and that not every day is productive, but the issue wasn't the lack of fish — it was the lack of effort, communication, and follow-through on what was promised. This ended up being a long, boring, and expensive day on the water. I would not use this service again and would not recommend it based on our experience. I'm sure they may have good days, but this trip did not deliver what was discussed or what we were looking for.

Jose worked hard on setting up rods and replacing and checking bates. He was in it to win it. Fantastic results.
