Water Dog Charters is family owned and operated, geared to chartering deep sea fishing trips from the experienced angler to first-time families for over 30 years. They are a child-friendly charter company that encourages taking children and exposing them to the outdoor wonders the Gulf of Mexico has to offer.
Relax and enjoy your trip aboard the ‘Water Dog’, a spacious 38’ Crusader. She has a nice and comfortable enclosed cabin with cold air-conditioning and clean restroom. There are bunks downstairs for those who will need a nap after all the fish catching action they endure!
The Water Dog comes powered by a 300 HP Cummins C-series and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. She is also rigged with modern navigational and fish finding electronics to save your time while searching for a big one.
Your trip will be targeting species such as Red Snapper, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, King Mackerel, Black or Scamp Grouper and possibly some types of Sharks. You will be mainly concentrating on light and heavy tackle trolling and bottom fishing.
The crew will take care of everything you will need for your deep sea fishing adventure! They provide bait, license, and tackle for you and your guests. All you would need to bring is whatever food and drinks you will need for the trip.

6 Hour – Troll / Bottom Fish (AM)
Great day fishing!
We had a blast fishing on the Water Dog. Captain Bryan and Travis were fantastic. Our kids can’t stop talking about what a great experience they had for their first time offshore fishing. We were on fish all day. Trolling was fun and productive and we also caught our limit of Red Snapper! Can’t say enough about what a great day we had! Already planning on doing it again next year. THANKS!

6 Hour – Troll / Bottom Fish (AM)
Captain Bryan Watts was Fantastic!
We had a group of six adults from all over the country visiting Orange Beach for a sales meeting and we’re looking for a fun activity. Captain Bryan made the trip a memory of a lifetime and had us on fish the entire time. He let us experience everything from trolling for Spanish Mackerel, bottom fishing for Trigger and Snapper, and even managed to hook us up with some sport fishing hooking some large Amber Jack. If you’re looking for fantastic day on the water, I strongly recommend Captain Bryan!

Great time for 4 people
We had a great last-minute trip! We originally booked the Waterdog, but for some reason it was unavailable. The replacement boat had similar features, including A/C, so no big complaints there. The deckhand did a solid job — kept us on the fish with a mix of trolling and bottom fishing. I’ll be posting photos soon on my IG @TrenchMedias for anyone who wants to check it out.

Great experience!
We took a 5 hr deep sea trip as beginners on the Water Dog with captain Bryan and first mate Luke. The crew was welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. We caught red snapper and had fun evading dolphins that were enjoying our catches before we could reel them in! Highly recommend this fleet of vessels, Captain Bryan, and Luke.
