Captain Juan Levy Ramirez invites you to join Surfandfishing Charters for a memorable offshore trip out of Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Juan has a lot of experience with big game fishing, having participated in a number of local tournaments with great success. He'll do his best to make sure you get the fishing experience you've always wanted.
His boat is the Marissa II - a 26' Super Panga that comes with a 140 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engine. There's plenty of room on the vessel for up to four prospective anglers, so why not bring some friends along for the ride? You'll also find a fighting chair onboard, as well as a pair of outriggers and a livewell for bait.
This part of Mexico makes for great deep sea fishing because you'll be in deep waters pretty much as soon as you leave the dock. Some of the fish species you'll be able to target here are Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, and so much more besides. Preserving Billfish is one thing that's very important to Captain Juan, which is why Billfishing trips are catch and release only.
You'll find that rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price of the trip, along with complimentary drinks and snacks. Whatever you decide to keep will be cleaned and filleted after the trip for your convenience. All you need to do is pack a pair of sunglasses, some sunscreen, and get ready to hook 'em.
The remaining balance should be paid in cash, in pesos.

Came down to Puerto Escondido to catch something big and we caught 2 massive Sail Fish. The whole time you are fishing you are surrounded by dolphins and sea turtles as they guide you to feeding frenzies. In the feeding frenzy you'll see Marlin, Sail Fish, and Tuna striking the surface. Pretty surreal experience. The crew is knowledgable, passionate about fishing, and helped me clean the fish when we got to the beach. Great photographers too. He has a very hi res insta360 so you do not have to worry about photos at all!
We went out on a 4-hour tour with Surfandfishing Charters and had an amazing time. The crew was professional, friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing. We managed to catch a few sailfish, which was a real highlight — such an exciting experience! Everything from the gear to the boat was top-notch, and the whole trip felt relaxed yet adventurous. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to try something new, I'd definitely recommend Surfandfishing Charters. We made some great memories and can't wait to go again!
There's fishing and there's CATCHING. The trip I took with Capatin Levy was a cathing trip! Levy definitely knows how to catch! After hooking several smaller bonito the captain promised that the next hook up would be a sailfish. The next three were sailfish in the 180, 70 and 40 pound category. Moral of the story: make sure you book your trip with Captain Levy!!
We had a great morning fishing with Captain Juan. We caught mahi mahi, sailfish, and hooked a marlin that got away. We saw lots of sea turtles and dolphins on our tour, and the captain let us swim with the dolphins on our way back to shore. Overall a great trip and would recommend/do again.
ud over en god fangst, var der masser at se på havet. delfiner, skilpadder mm. super god tur fra morgen til middag. Kaptainen og besætningen var behagelige, hjælpsomme og forklarende. jeg ville gøre det igen. God for nybegyndere som jeg selv, og sikkert også for øvede.
