+52Fishing in Dubai is a great adventure, and aboard the Al Rubban you are bound to have an incredible time. Captain Donabur has over 15 years of experience, and will be with you every step of the way, to make sure you have the greatest fishing trip.
This 39’ Al Rubban has a maximum capacity of 12, so large groups are more than welcome. Capt. Donabur does suggests that only 6 anglers fish at a time for maximum comfort. For trips in the summer Capt. Donabur recommends the longer trips, which will give you plenty of time to head out to the cooler waters to catch the fish. With a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots, you’ll on the fish in an hour.
Al Rubban offers many different trips to suit all the needs of their customers. The smaller trips are better for beginners, whereas the longer trip is more suited to experienced anglers who don’t mind traveling to get on the fish. Once at the fishing spots, you can target specific species. On all the trips customers are welcome to go for a swim before heading back to shore.
You can expect to catch Kingfish, Cobia and Barracuda to name a few, through various fishing techniques such as trolling or jigging. Children are more than welcome aboard, and life vests are provided. Capt. Donabur kindly asks that pregnant women and newborns do not come aboard due to safety reasons.
To be able to fish you will need to bring along original identification documents. Capt. Donabur recommends you bring your passport. Please note, photocopies will not be accepted, and without your passport you will not be able to board.

This is the best fishing charter I have ever been on, and I have been on multiple others. We booked nighttime but they went out of their way to contact me and advise me to change the timing to have a better chance of fish bites which was the best discission. The experience of captain Hassan and his crew to teach us how to fish were the reason it was a day full of fun and catches, and the captain's knowledge of the sea and great fishing spots allowed us to catch 50+ fish and we were only 4 people, even when the weather started to get bad they still took us to places where we kept catching even more. I cannot recommend this enough and will definitely come back again.

8 of us had a great fishing experience. We caught a lot of king fish and queen fish of good size. The captain is an expert of the waters. In spite of worsening weather, he kept surprising us with finding yet another school of fish and successfully trawling one more predator; and one more; and one more. We caught some fish while bottom fishing too. All the time the captain and his mate were helpful, friendly and seemed to have fun too. Overall, we were very happy and would highly recommend this trip to anybody, who likes sea fishing..

Beautiful relaxing Sunday morning
5 Hour Trip (AM) on March 16, 2025
We woke up at 5a.m and headed to the Jumeirah fishing marina pickup. Traffic was minimal and parking was nice and easy to find. Hassan and rex were super accommodating and knowledgeable. Let us ease into the fishing in a relaxing and fun way. Was with friends and my nephew (13) and we all enjoyed the time on the water. We caught enough fish to feed us for a while (hehe!). All-in-all absolutely 0 complaints. Would definitely recommend for the beginner or the avid angler.

Difficult conditions but plenty of fish caught and a couple of good ones lost, Capt AJ and his crew did a great job putting us on fish in difficult conditions even asking us to leave dock at 4:15am to make the most of the morning tide and cooler weather. Totally honest about what we were likely to catch (not making impossible claims like some skippers) and used the boat and equipment to get us on the right spot at the right time which meant we hit kingfish exploding on the surface four or five times with a couple of hook ups when other boats weren’t getting any. Will definitely go again with Capt AJ .
