The 'Captain Mike' is a 52' Davis offshore sport fishing boat. It was built in 1989 and comes powered by twin 450 HP Cummins turbo engines. The Captain Mike can comfortably accommodate up to 18 passengers and has plenty of fishing space. The boat is rigged with an ice box, a GPS, a fish finder to save your time while searching for a big one, and a toilet for your maximum comfort while spending your day on the water.
From the waters close to the coast to the offshore grounds up to 50 miles out, Captain Mike's Fishing Chartres can put you on a variety of exciting fish species. Depending on the season and what's biting, you can expect to target anything from Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and King Mackerel to Amberjack, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Vermilion Snapper, Triggerfish, Blackfin Tuna, and Sailfish.
All trips aboard the beautiful Captain Mike come inclusive with the use of quality rods, reels, tackle, bait, and all the necessary fishing licenses. Primo live bait can be purchased, or we can catch it. You can feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks with you. And don't forget your desire to catch fish!

Captain Mike and deckhand Wesley were terrific. Our family group of 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 children had plenty of space to relax on the 53 foot fishing vessel "Capt Mike". She quickly took us to multiple spots about 15 miles offshore. We caught a red snapper, mahi mahi, and a rare black fin tuna. Wesley was an awesome deckhand who made sure every hook was baited up and assisted with any issues. The mahi mahi and black fin tuna were caught because of Wesley's knowledge and observation. We saw a group of mahi mahi swimming near the surface, and he immediate cast out some live cigar minnows on a hook. I pulled in a mahi mahi, and my brother-in-law battled hard to bring in the tuna. Overall, an awesome experience. We had fresh seafood for 3 days! Highly recommended for families who want a comfortable fishing experience with experienced local crew.
We had an absolute blast with Capt. Mike and Wesley! Hands down the best charter we've ever had. Capt. Mike put us on the fish and Wesley was a beast on the deck! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great trip out. We will definitely be booking again!
We had nine fishing and we all caught fish. a great dayon the water. Mike and Westley made our trip very memorable.
4 adults and 4 kids. had an amazing time. went Amberjack fishing. Capt Mike and Jeremy were both very knowledgeable and made the trip fun for everyone. Definitely will book with them again.
