Key West is home to a wide range of gorgeous fish species that are just waiting for the right angler to show up and give them a proper fight. Reel Smoker is here to give you just that – Captain John Jr. has fished this area his whole life and is keen to show you the hottest spots and put you on the best bite.

Join him aboard their brand new, 2023 30 center console, made by conch boats at R&R Boatworks. She's powered by two 450 HP Mercury engines, that allows the boat to travel at a maximum cruising speed of 40 mph She's spacious and allows for up to 6 anglers to fish in comfort, without tangling lines. A live bait well will keep your bait alive and kicking, so you can just focus on the fishing. If the sun gets a bit too hot, the t-top will provide shade.

Captain John Jackson Jr. will take you after a wide range of excellent fish in this area. You can target Amberjacks, Cobias, Barracuda, Jack Crevalles, Kingfish, Permits, Snappers, Groupers, Sharks, Tarpon, and many other species. To land these big boys you can try several different techniques, like spinning, bottom fishing, and drift fishing, all while using light or heavy tackle.

The Silver King is one of the stars of the show with Reel Smoker and it can be targeted year-round, however, the best fishing for Tarpon in this area is between March and July.

Live bait is either prepared before you arrive or caught during the trip, but always included in the price. All rods, reels, and tackle needed will be provided by the captain. There's no minimum age for kids with Reel Smoker and anglers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join them on this exciting fishing adventure!i

Great day at the Marquesas
Full Day Trip - Marquesas on July 8, 20254 adults1 child
Captain David took us to the marquesas where we started the day inshore catching barracuda. Then We headed out to the reef for snapper. And then offshore for amberjack. And got a Bonito on the way to the amberjack spot. Sharks hit us hard out there but we managed to get one AJ in the boat. Then finished the day out back at the reef for snapper and sharks. We had 3 teenagers with us and everyone had a great time. Thanks captain David!

Great time
4 Hour Trip - Sunset Tarpon on July 5, 20242 adults
Zach met us at the marina and introduced himself and took time to make sure he had our names right. Everything was ready to leave on time. We headed out through gorgeous water and made a quick stop to get some bait from a trap he had out. He took time to find out what we wanted, basically to make sure my son caught some fish. He succeeded beyond expectations. He put us on a school of mangrove snappers that were on fire. We caught our limit and he asked if we wanted something larger. Again he came through. My son hooked up an Amber Jack that wore him out. The smile on his face said everything. I then hooked one but managed to loose it then Hooke a big Bonita that we almost got boated before something ate about 2/3 of it. Will book again next time in Key West

Awsome full day to the Marquesas
Full Day Trip - Marquesas on May 16, 20242 adults
You can't go wrong with Real Easy Charters. Capt. John has great communication prior to the trip. We arrived 30 minutes early and Capt. JJ was ready to go. His pleasant and professional attitude made for a great day, and he was always coaching and helping. I booked the Marquesas trip to kind of do an "all of the above" trip and JJ didn't disappoint. We had Mutton snapper in the boat within minutes of our first stop. Then we moved on for Grouper, then some wreck fishing (got a really nice Goliath), then moved inside the Atoll for some sight fishing for Tarpon (some big ones but they wouldn't bite). Finished the day with some Yellow Jacks, and on the last fish of the day, a really big Mutton Snapper, a 6ft Barracuda flashed out of nowhere and ate it! Overall we probably caught over 40 fish and at least 8 different species. JJ had the keepers filleted and packed up in no time when we got back. Overall great day.
