Mad Gillz Fishing invites you to join them for an authentic Georgian freshwater fishing experience. US COAST GUARD licensed captain has decades of experience on lakes, rivers, and saltwater across the Southeastern part of the US and can accommodate anglers of all skill levels, from beginner to expert. Whatever your fishing profile, the trip will be customized to fit your particular needs.
You will be fishing aboard a 2021 21’ Ultra Elite Carolina Skiff. This boat is built for comfort and fishing. It’s rigged with the most recent electronics to boost your chances of landing the fish of a lifetime. Bring your family or your friends for a day aboard one fine fishing machine.
Freshwater fishing in Georgia is top-notch, but Lake Lanier and similar places can be difficult to fish without proper knowledge or experience. This is why you’ll be accompanied by an expert guide who knows his stuff. The name of the game around here is Bass fishing, whether it’s Largemouth, Spotted, or Striped Bass. You’ll be provided with high-quality rods, reels, and terminal tackle, meaning the only thing you’ll need to bring is a freshwater fishing license.
For the best experience on the water, please give us 48 hours notice before the date of your choosing to best prepare for your adventure, you’ll want to bring a pair of polarized sunglasses, as well as some drinks and snacks if you’re so inclined. Half Day Trip (PM)
The best day ever
I took my son and his good friend out with Mad Gillz Fishing and we had the best day ever. Captain Mickey was fun and engaging, taught the boys a ton about different ways to fish and types of bait, and kept things interesting while we waited on fish, reeled them in, and flew across the lake to fish in different sites. He also knew a lot about the lake and its creation. We caught ten fish in total and the boys said afterwards that it was the best afternoon of their lives and wanted to go again the next day! :) would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

Slow start, but ended with many fish.
We love to fish and have for raised our kiddos and grandkiddos doing lots of fishing, but from the shore. We wanted to spend a day fishing from a boat as our oldest grandson will be leaving for the Air Force soon and we wanted to check out our luck on a boat for a day. We found Captain Mickey who got us on the fish. He definitely knows everything fishing and about Lake Lanier, and we shared many interest in common. Thanks Captain Mickey for a memorable day fishing and more!!!

Great Day!
Even though the fishing was slow, Captain Mickey tried mightily to get us to the spots. Very knowledgeable about fishing, Lake Lanier, and wildlife and contributed to what was overall a great day. Buddy caught great fish and hasn't stopped bragging about it. Great boat and showed up promptly on time ready to go. Lots of fun and I will go again.

Micky never dissappoints.
2nd time out with Mad gillz. Puts us on the fish everytime. Very attentive to my kids and and makes sure everyone enjoys the trip. Thanks Mickey we will do it again.

Great day on Lake Lanier
Enjoyed our trip with Captain Mickey. We are beginners and he was gracious showing us the ropes. He also went out of his way to give us tips on what to do as we went. We also especially enjoyed the background he gave us on natural life at the lake, taking time to point out egret nests, great blue herons and other birds. Highly recommend.
