A friend and I took our 14-year-old sons for a half day with Captain Vinny, and this was a great trip. We came back with fish both to cook tonight and to freeze for another day, which was lucky, but what made our time particularly enjoyable was Captain Vinny's knowledge, guidance, flexibility, and generosity with his time. He was perfect with the boys, providing them advice when they needed it and letting them experiment with technique when it was appropriate; he shared lots of information about the islands we passed and the harbor (but not so much that it ever felt like a lecture); he moved the boat several times to find where the stripers were biting; and what was supposed to be a 4-hour stint turned out -- with our permission -- into something more like 5+ hours. This group has gone charter fishing before, and we will again, and we'll certainly call Captain Vinny.

We had a fantastic day. This guy treated my Grandson like he was his Grandson. We were on a mission to get the little guy his first striper. We caught live bait (which my Grandson loved) and the hunt was on. The Capt. was focused, determined, and polite. We will recommend Capt. Vinny to anyone we know that wants to have fun. We had a wonderful time on this fishing tour! The weather was perfect, and the boat was clean and comfortable. Our captain was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was our first fishing trip, and we were thrilled to catch lots of fish — we felt so accomplished! We really enjoyed the whole experience and are already looking forward to the next time.
We fished with Captain Vinny in Boston Harbor today. Vinny found big pile of bass. We caught 9 striped bass up to 41". The sonar showed a very large school of bass but they were not actively feeding on surface. Vinny did many drifts over the school and we finally doubled up with two big bass on live mackerel Vinny brought on board. Highly recommending Vinny's charter!
