Tiderunner Charters invites you to come aboard with Captain Devin Anderson and get a taste of some awesome fishing out of Carolina Beach, NC. Captain Devin has more than 20 years of experience fishing the local waters and does his very best to make sure every trip is customized to fit the needs of his guests.
His boat is a custom 26’ Barker bay boat that’s powered by a single 400 HP Mercury Verado engine. Capable of reaching a top speed of an impressive 60 knots, you’ll be at the fishing grounds before you even know it. It includes all the necessary safety gear and navigation electronics needed for a productive trip, as well as a wireless trolling motor for when you need to sneak up on your catch.
The fish you go after will depend on your preferences as well as the type of trip. Inshore, expect to see plenty of Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum and more. Going further offshore will have you up against species like King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Amberjack, and more besides.
The price of a given trip always includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, as well as catch cleaning services after the trip. There’s also water and Gatorade aboard, but feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks if you like. There good fishing to be had any time of the year, so come on down for a good time on the water.

Great trip without the “charter” feel
Devin was great and although the weather was windy he made the day excellent. He taught my nephew, as well as the rest of us, fishing skills that yielded a very good 1/2 day in the water. Devin is very personable and doesn’t make the trip feel like a charter. It felt like we were fishing with a good friend. Very knowledgeable and excellent equipment. I’d definitely do it again. Thanks Devin. 👊🏻

Morning trip with Captain Devin
Absolutely beautiful day on the water! Not many fish to be caught but the Captain tried his best. Loved the boat and overall experience. Caught a shark and wrestled a spinning shark for over 3 minutes until it broke free. Captain is very knowledgeable of the area and was good with my son. Recommend this charter!

Morning Half day trip
Had a great half day trip with Captain Devin! He got us some good flounder early and got my boys some action despite the hottest fishing day of the year he said. Afterwards we tried to find some redfish, ended up hooking of some speckled trout and at the last minute I hooked into a decent redfish and the fight was worth the heat of the day! Overall had a great trip! Captain Devin definitely tried his best to make sure we had a the best experience we could!!

A trip to remember
If you are considering a fishing trip in Carolina Beach, Captain Devin is a great choice. First off he designed a trip based on input from us. We headed out to the wrecks and he put us on fish right away with “Flounder Pounder” pulling in two keeper flat fish for tonight’s diner. From there it was time for the daily workout, some bull Redfish. We pulled in 20 plus fighting 3 at a time up and down the side of the boat. Our biceps were bulging and it was back to the river for some finesse fishing. A ton of hook ups, but those river fish are smooth. A trout, one blue and a ton of cut mullet on the hook. What a day, thanks for all your hard work and hospitality Devin. The family and I had a blast. We will be back for King season. Scott

Awesome 3/4 day trip
Devin put us on fish all day. Started out at a shipwreck and caught multiple species. He got a call from a buddy that the reds were hitting at a different spot so we headed that way and sure enough almost every pass we were hooked up. Very knowledgeable captain and based the trip on whatever we wanted to do. Definitely will book with him again. Only downfall was not being able to keep the flounder we caught
