Captain Ricky Falls knows all the hottest fishing spots around, from the coast to the deep blue sea.
Join Capt. Ricky and 1st. Mate Garren aboard “Hound Dawg”, a 48’ Viking sport fishing boat. She’s quite spacious, able to hold 6 anglers fishing at the same time without bumping elbows. She’s quite comfortable, so you can relax and just focus on the perfect cast. A fully air-conditioned cabin will keep you cool. Added comfort comes from a full-head toilet, brand new indoor couch and seating, and brand new carpet and counter tops.
She’s seriously equipped for sportfishing too. Outriggers will extend your reach when trolling, while a live bait tank makes sure your bait stays active and appetizing. A fighting chair will give you support as you battle big boys offshore. Her brand new 2021 dual 625 FPT engines allow you to cruise at a maximum speed of 28 knots, impressive for a vessel her size.
Capt. Ricky will take you after a variety of gorgeous fish. You’ll troll for Kingfish and Sailfish, bottom fish for Groupers, and also do some spinning and drift fishing. You can even do some kite fishing for Marlin! You will be provided with all the required equipment by the captain.
There is a first mate on board to clean and fillet your catch, also to assist you in any way possible. He works for tips and a 20% tip is customary.

Full Day Trip
First time but not the last time!
We had a great trip with Hound Dawg Charters, even with rough seas. Captain Rick handled the conditions with confidence and kept us on fish throughout the day. While we didn’t catch anything huge, the action was steady and the group had a great time. Garren, the first mate, was a standout—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with gear, bait, and anything else we needed. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and clearly run by a team that knows what they’re doing. If you’re looking for a reliable, experienced crew and a fun day on the water, Hound Dawg Charters is a solid choice. We’d definitely go out with them again.

Hardest working crew out there! Fantastic trip and great memories!
I highly recommend Hound Dawg Charters! My family went on a full day fishing charter August 6. Seas were rough in the morning due to a recent tropical storm. Captain Rick and First Mate Eddie were top-rate! Rough seas or no, they took us out trolling and we caught a tuna on the way out. Rick and Eddie repeatedly found great places to fish and we ended up busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest! We brought back about 30 gorgeous mahi mahi, even when other boats were having trouble finding the bites. Eddie worked non-stop- either helping us hook our fish or restring new bait to help the next trip out. Rick and Eddie have been doing this a long time and their expertise shows. They are knowledgeable, and willing to share stories and information. Super nice to talk to. The boat is wonderful as well- very comfortable and roomy, and well appointed. Gear is top-notch. We are planning our next trip already (will be looking for sailfish in the winter) and will definitely go with Hound Dawg!

Great day fishing
Even though the seas were quite rough and the fish didn’t want to cooperate fully both Captain Rick and 1st Mate Garren did everything they could to give us a truly amazing experience. My son was so happy catching what he could and just being out on the water taking it all in. Captain Rick is so experienced navigating the waters and finding the best spots to fish while Garren taught us so much not only about fishing techniques but also the water and surrounding area in general. Thank you Hound Dawg Charter for making Carson’s graduation present exactly what he wanted!

The guys onboard “Hound Dawg Charters Islamorada” know how to catch fish! When the sailfish weren’t biting, the guys put us on the some Tuna and a 70+ lb Amberjack!!! Wow. Great time and great success. 😊

26 Dolphin and all the fun you can have!!!
The captain and mate were incredible, knowledgeable and put us on a lot of fish on a tough day where I saw other boats catch 7 or less.......we caught 26 and perfect eating size dolphin!!!
