Pole along the shallow, calm waters and experience ultimate fly fishing in San Pedro with “GoFish Belize”! The endless turtle grass flats and shallow mangroves provide incredible opportunities for landing seriously gamey inshore fish.

Captain Abner "Abbie" Marin is a local pro, born and raised on the island. He started GoFish Belize in 1996 and in the meantime, it’s grown to become the top locally owned and operated fly fishing charter on the island!

Hop aboard a 23’ Lanchon flats boat, ideal for a pair anglers where one angler can fish at a time. Her slender design makes her perfect for navigating these productive shallow waters. There’s a spacious platform for you to cast from and reel in your targets. You’ll entice their bite with bait kept fresh in the live well and store drinks and snacks in the ice box.

All the fish you’ll go after are seriously fun to catch. Your angling skills are put to test against the mighty Tarpon, elusive Permit, and invisible Bonefish. If it’s your first-time fly fishing, let Capt. Abbie know and he’ll give you a crash course. He’ll also bring along spinning gear in case you feel like switching things up.

Just remember, trips aboard GoFish Belize are strictly catch and release. Snap a great photo and send your fish off to keep on swimming. You’ll find all of the gear you need for a productive day on board, as well as bottled water, ice, and sodas. Store any other drinks and snacks you’d like to have in the cooler.

All you’ll need to bring is a valid fishing license, sun protection, and polarized sunglasses. Capt. Abbie works hard to make sure you have a good time and if you’re happy with the service a 20% tip is customary. He’s also happy to pick up and drop you off at the dock closest to where you’re staying for an additional $30 fee.

Experience some of the best saltwater fly fishing there is aboard GoFish Belize!
