Chilly boat ride this time of year but we were on the fish five minutes out of the slip.

Caught Spanish Mackerel by the bridge then out to sea where we caught Mingo, Triggerfish, Red Snapper, and even a couple of sharks.

Highly recommend Maximus and Chris as a skipper.  Chris was awesome!  Kept us on the fish the whole time, taught us about the species we caught, and even ate lunch with us.  We’ll be back for more in late summer for sure.

Took our catch to Brotula’s for the hook it and cook it special. Great experience and well worth it!

Memory making started early after Captain Chris dodged the dark clouds and rain to get us on plenty of reds first thing! He never stopped baiting those hooks with live bait that we purchased and kept us reeling up reds until we were tossing back keepers because we hit the limit early. Equipment was great and the boat was well kept with everything we needed. The bean bag chairs were wonderful for the hour ride out and back to the dock. We all enjoyed conversations with him (especially our son) and him sharing his knowledge of fishing and the ocean in general.  It’s obvious that he’s very passionate about fishing and making sure you come home with a great catch!  He cleaned and bagged everything and even shared some coking tips for all the red snappers. We came home with red snapper, black snapper, and even a couple mahi that he snagged up on the way back. Thanks for a day of memories, being sensitive to our (very) seasick daughter, and bringing us all back safe! We look forward to another family fishing trip with Captain Chris!

We had a great fishing trip with Chris. He’s a great fisherman who knew exactly what to do. We caught trophy sized Grouper and Mahi, Red Snapper, Vermillion and a ton of smaller fish for bait. We even got lucky enough to reel in a very large shark, although of course that line got cut once it was surfaced next to the boat, lol! We saw squid, flying fish and he even took us to a place to show us a different group of sharks just because we’d mentioned hoping to see some in our booking message. This was really an amazing trip, and we took home so much fish that we actually left some with Chris because our 65 quart cooler was out of space! Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome, better family pictures with incredible fish, or a more knowledgeable fisherman. AWESOME!

We were on the Maximilian.  Captain Chris is a GREAT captain.  When he knew he had hours open on Tuesday we were offered to extend our trip.  We took him up on increasing our trip from 5 hours to 8 hours.  We got to catch live bait like I do many years ago.  We went out to 200+ feet of water.  If you are not afraid of hard work and bruises, you will catch huge fish like we did.  We had two Amberjack weighing in at 44 and 40 pounds, two.others around 30 pounds.  We Caught three nice Triggers.

It takes team work to land the bigger fish and my two boys and I work ad a great team to take the fish home.

Captain Chris took about two hours to clean the fish.  I can tell you, he paid attention to everything good and bad in the fish.  We ended up with about 90 pounds of meat.  By the way the Trigger fish were cooked Wednesday night.  NOTHING BETTER THAN FRESH FISH.

Chris,  If the good lord is willing I would love to be able to do this again.  My boys, my wife and our family have a memory of a lifetime.  We Thank You for being our captain and providing such a great day.

Let me start off by saying that we ran into the customers that had taken the trip in the morning and they were ranting and raving about Captain Chris that got us even more excited. Captain Chris did not disappoint! As soon as we arrived at the fishing spot it was fish on within minutes and it was non-stop for 5 hours. It was fun, exciting, and exhausting all at the same time! We LOVED every minute! Will definitely come back!
