Captain Clowers Charters LLC is your ticket for a fantastic fishing trip out of San Diego, CA. Whether you’re a professional angler who wants to go far offshore after the big boys, or an angler just starting out who prefers to stay closer to the shore, Capt. Alan Clowers is your man. He’s been on the water since the age of 5 and knows the fishery like the back of his hand.
His boat, the “About Time”, is a real beauty. She’s a 36’ Riviera flybridge that runs on a pair of 370 HP Cummins engines. The boat offers a great deal of comfort and luxury, it also includes high-end finishes and features. With a spacious interior for your to lounge in on longer trips, comfort is guaranteed even on longer trips. She can easily fit up to 6 prospective anglers, so feel free to bring friends and family along for the ride.
If you’re looking for someone to take you out in the Pacific to go after some prize gamefish, look no further than Capt. Alan. Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Sharks - you name it, he’s caught it. You can also stay in the bay and fish for the likes of Bonefish, Bass, Halibut, and more, it’s entirely up to you.
All the necessary rods, reels, and terminal tackle come included in the price of any given trip. This also includes fish cleaning services for your convenience. It’s great fishing year-round, come and see for yourself!

Big day fishing...
When you charter a boat for the first time, you just don’t know what to expect. If the fish are biting has a lot to do with how much fun you will have on the trip. That said it should have nothing to do with your respect for the crew. It is a tough life managing a boat as well as being the deck hand.. there is so much to take care of. The cleanliness of the boat, the food and drinks, sea sick passengers, baiting hooks , putting up with novice fishermen and women, on and on. That said the trip was a huge success. Dustin the deck hand did a greAt job and Jeremy was a world class captain putting us on top of the fish over and over. Blue fin tuna are finicky and very tough to catch . It takes team work to get them on the boat. Captain Jeremy even dived in the water to take a line off the prop with a 75 lb tuna on the line which we landed after an hour fight on light tackle with 30lb test. We landed 5 nice blue fins on six hook ups the crew was great as well as our time at sea. We highly recommend the About Time as well as their crew. Phil Lebherz....
