The Sacramento River has one of the best Rainbow Trout fisheries in the continental U.S., and the guide knows just where the fish are hiding. He grew up in the area and gained his passion for everything angling-related from his father, Jerry, who also works as a guide.

The guide spends every free minute fishing and exploring the outdoors, with a dedication and enthusiasm that are truly inspiring. As well as helping you hook huge fish, he’ll also show you the ropes and make sure you get exactly what you want out of your experience – no matter your age or skill level. A day out on the water with him is bound to be a rewarding experience!

The guide has plenty of respect for these waters and the species that inhabit the river, so he practices catch-and-release, as well as using barbless hooks. This ensures that Trout fishing on the river can be enjoyed for years to come, as well as continuing to build special bonds between friends and families.

The guide specializes in trips that focus on two methods of angling – you’ll be able to try your hand at fly fishing, or can choose to target your catch with conventional rods, reels, and tackle instead. Don’t worry if you’re a newbie, as the guide will be on hand to show you everything you need to know.

You’ll cruise the river on a 25’ Alumaweld boat, perfectly built for freshwater fishing action. She can accommodate up to 6 guests, and is decked out with life jackets and an ice box to store drinks and snacks!
