No epic angling adventure can start without a great boat, and that’s exactly what captain’s 25’ Parker Pilothouse is. The vessel is equipped with Simrad electronics to keep you on the fish trail and is the perfect fishing platform for up to 4 people to drop their line at the same time. The boat is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and can cut through the waves easily.
She’s also got a spacious cockpit, tuna tower for the best visuals on the water, and is very safe thanks to her high rail right on the bow. The vessel is not only great for fishing but also extremely comfortable thanks to the enclosed cabin and a bed for you to rest in after an action-filled day. All the rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
Capt. Shannon doesn’t only have a well-kept boat – he knows how to get you to the most bountiful fishing grounds around Newport Beach. All you have to do is choose what kind of an expedition would you like to have – anything from a 13-hour extravaganza to 4-hour excursions is on offer. There’s a wonderful mixed bag of catch that’s just waiting for your hook that includes Mahi Mahi, Rockfish, Bluefin Tuna, Halibut, White Seabass, and more.
The main goal of Sealutions Sportfishing LLC is to create the best trip for you and maybe teach you a fishing trick or two while you’re casting your line. You can come with your angling buddies or your family, and Capt. Shannon will always go the extra mile to organize a memorable trip.

Where do we start?! Captain Shannon made our fishing trip an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. His professionalism was evident throughout, and he was incredibly informative, intuitive, and genuinely a wonderful person. We used live bait, and he expertly identified each species we caught, enhancing our knowledge as well as our excitement. The thrill of catching elusive species like halibut, lingcod, and sheepshead was amplified by his enthusiasm. To top it all off, he skillfully filleted our catch and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants where we could have the fish prepared. Without a doubt, we give him 5 stars for his outstanding service. We can’t wait to book him again and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to charter in the Newport/Huntington Beach area!

Super Fun
What a great day. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect beautiful day. Great Captain, not only knowledgeable about fishing, the ocean, etc, but very attentive and aware of the needs of everyone on the boat. Every time I needed something I didn’t have to ask, because he was right there solution in hand. Plus he was just a likable guy. Great fishing. We caught way over 100 fish, so much so that I had to stop early to rest from constantly reeling in one after another. I couldn’t be happier with my choice and I look forward to the next time.

Amazing trip
We had an amazing trip clean boat great equipment our captain was excellent super knowledgeable and professional. We caught fish from the time we arrived till the time we left easily over 50 fish for my party of three on the morning 5hr trip we caught multiple species as well as some monster sandbass.would highly recommend

Great trip with Captain Shannon!
I took my dad out on Captain Shannon's boat for a half day morning trip. We caught 40-50 fish and many different species including some highlights of the day -- a good sized halibut, several sheepshead and even a few sharks. Captain Shannon was attentive, kept us on the fish repositioning the boat when we had drifted away from the bite and helped us get the technique down quickly. Highly recommend and would take the trip again!

Great trip with a qualified captain.
Told him what our expectations were for the half day fishing excursion and he knew exactly where to take my crew of 4 anxious anglers. Many fish were pulled in per person thanks to his extensive knowledge of the areas fishing grounds but in the end, we had enough fish to feed about 8 people and had a great time catching them.
