Captain Mark has over a decade of experience fishing in the waters of the Gulf Coast. He is an expert in getting you on the hottest bite in no time, no matter what trip you choose. It can be a full day or a half day trip, but one thing's for sure — you're going to catch something awesome.
Among many species that could find their way to your hook, the favorites like Redfish, Flounder, Tripletail, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Black Drum are the most common, and catching each of them will leave you with a different feeling and story to tell. What's more, you'll get to reel them in on light tackle, which is especially exciting and challenging.
All this angling fun is possible thanks to the captain's reliable 22' Triton bay boat that accommodates up to 4 anglers. The vessel comes powered by a 200 HP Yamaha V6 engine and can take you wherever the most productive fishing spots are for the day. This includes artificial reefs, jetties, barrier island flats, and marsh bayous.
You will be provided with all of the proper equipment needed to fish safely and successfully, so don't worry about rods, reels, tackle, and bait, Capt. Mark has got you covered. You can also count on bottled water and soft drinks on board, you just bring some snacks with you, to keep you energized and ready for battle when the fish start biting.

Awesome! Look, if you are looking for a guide that will certainly go out of his way to ensure you the best experience the gulf has to offer then quit looking and just book with Ambush. Captain Mark has top quality tackle, very professional but super personable, fresh bait, great boat and most of all a love for the gulf and a respect for all it has to offer. My daughter wanted to add that Captain Mark was a great teacher as well. Instead of just doing everything for us he took the time to explain and show why and how, then step back and let us figure it out with a little guidance.
Sure enjoyed having and sharing the experience with y’all! Let’s do it again sometime. Tight lines!
A fishing excursion was really the one thing my grandson and his friend wanted out of our visit to Gulfport. Captain Mike did not disappoint!! They wanted to catch something "big and 'ugly', that they couldn't catch at home." Came away with flounder, shark, and several others that fulfilled their expectations! Thank you Captain Mike for making it a great experience and making his birthday s memorable one!!!!
First time fishing on a boat for the wife. She had so much fun! Mark had us on fish in minutes! Cold January day but worth it. Will be back in the summer with my kids!

Growing up less than a block away from the shoreline in Pass Christain, Mississippi had its perks! As a child, I learned to Flounder and wade fish the beachfront as a hobby and found it's a way to provide excellent table fare. As I grew so did my obsession with the sport. Logging my trips for moon phases, tidal movements, barometric pressure, and weather conditions correlated to fish activity began before I was old enough to drive. If I wasn't walking to the beach after school to wade fish next to the longest private pier on the Coast, I was getting dropped off at the harbor to fish from the rockpile and seawall for hours. Then came the boat. Since then, I have logged countless hours on the water and still feel like a kid every time I leave the dock. The stakes are higher now and the passion is flourishing more than ever. I aim to bring the joy I get from chasing fish to everyone who gets on board with me. I want to share my knowledge with customers and to learn from them as well.
