Jorge and David did an outstanding job, we took this trip for our honeymoon. I have been fishing in Costa Rica before, I knew I had to do it again. My bucket list fish was a sailfish and Jorge delivered. We also decided to go for snapper while on the boat and they were able to get us a beautiful snapper. They were so prepared and knowledgeable, they filleted the fish for us, did all of the hard work and took some amazing pictures for us. We had an absolute blast. I highly recommend

No one caught anything on this rainy, blustery day.
We hooked up with a sail fish in the first 30 minutes out.
kind of a miracle as it was obvious from the radio chatter it was a dead day for all. even so, Captain Jorge forged ahead on the Snapper- amidst gale winds and rain (we knew what we were in for before going out) for an extra hour hyperfocused on getting us another bill fish. (and in the interim making sure we’d picked up and guided several dolphins who he kept -safely- in wake while we tried to do a repeat performance). for an hour after our set end time.
his mate was super capable (having brought in marlin to tarpon before, have never seen a 1st mate control and comfort and release a sailfish with more deft and experience).
And Captain Jorge was also simply a good guy and fun (in addition to competent).

My family and I booked a full day fishing excursion with Jorge and Christopher. We went out in a storm and the waves were pretty rough but we all wanted to keep going. Jorge was determined to find fish for us. About 30 miles out from land we were on the chase to find spinner dolphins and when we found them it wad amazing to see. We caught 9 Tuna and Christopher made us fresh Sashimi. We were not able to take back all the fish but we took some with us and had a local beach bar La Puesto del sol cook it for our dinner so delicious. I can’t say enough about this crew. Would highly recommend.  Thank you Jorge !

We took a half day trip with Jorge and Christopher and had the best time! It was my husband, older teen son and daughter and myself. My daughter and I had never been offshore fishing but we both loved it. Jorge warned us that it was the rainy season. The weather was pretty rainy when we left and Jorge asked if we were okay with continuing in the rain or if we wanted to go back. We told him we were good with going ahead. We were able to get out for enough to be away from the rain and he put us on a large school of tuna. My son and daughter were each able to catch tuna and my son hooked onto a nice sailfish, but ultimately lost him. Despite calls from many other guides saying they weren’t catching anything, Jorge did a great job of giving us a successful day. We would love to fish with him again and highly recommend his guide service!

I’ve been on guided fishing trips all through the US and even one in Loch Ness in Scotland and this fishing trip was by far the best! It started out slow with two Marlin that snapped the line, then the captain said a buddy is on the radio following dolphins and yellow tuna. He said that’s where we will go next. We get to the spot and see a pod of over 50 dolphins up ahead and as we got closer, the sea erupts with activity! I mean pure chaos! Feeder fish were jumping in our boat to avoid the feeding frenzy by dolphins and tuna. Tuna were jumping out of the water everywhere and even hitting the side of the boat. Dolphins swimming up right next to the boat to investigate. A line would be thrown out and immediately the silver flash of a tuna would take it and run! At one point, you had to not only navigate the waves to stand, but make sure not to step on a fish! Within 20-30 minutes of this, we had brought in 4 yellow fin tuna and snapped 3 lines trying to get more in. When I say this was an adventure, it truly was. The amount of action and wildlife we saw was amazing. We were able to get up close and personal with so much of the wildlife of Costa Rica. Our guides were amazing and made it incredibly skilled at their trade. I would recommend them to anyone going to Costa Rica. When my wife and I visit again, we will rebook with this outfit again.
