Legacy Charters is a family-owned business, first started by Captain Mike Masiero and his father. Capt. Mike has passed the torch onto his two sons, Capt. Mike Jr. and Capt. Kyle.
Their boat is “The Kraken,” a 28’ Bertram that’s powered by twin 260 HP Ford engines and completely restored in 2018.
NO DIESEL SMELL or FUMES to bother you on this boat!
This is a spacious vessel, sporting a full walk-in cabin with a bathroom. Having enough room for no less than 6 anglers, she’s a great choice if you’re looking to bring the whole family along for the ride.
Little River is unlike any other port out of the Grand Strand. It offers a wide variety of fish species both inshore and offshore, making it perfect for both longer and shorter trips out. No matter if you’re looking to land some delicious bottom feeders or chase after huge sharks, you’ll have a great time of it! Offshore waters are home to a variety of gamefish like Mahi Mahi, and Tuna!
The price of any given trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for the day. Not only that but whatever you catch will be cleaned and bagged after the trip at no extra charge. The crew will work hard to make sure you have a memorable time on the water, and 15-20% gratuity is very much appreciated.

Great family memories

Mike Sr and Mike Jr were very patient and accommodating to our party of 6 with 4 boys ages 11, 11, 8, and 2. The older boys had a great time and were so happy with the mess of fish they caught. Despite myself and my 2 year old being sea sick we still had a great time and both Mike's tried to do anything they could to make the trip better for us. Would highly recommend legacy charters to anyone especially those with kids!

Thank you for the awesome review! We had a great time with your sons … one thing I have to say is your an awesome mom! Consider we knew you were not feeling well for most of the trip … but hung in like a trooper so they could have a great day fishing… you should be able to get some mileage out of your suffering for them in the future lol ! Just guilt them alittle ..

Fun morning with Capt Mike Sr and Jr

Captain Mike Sr and Mike Jr really know their stuff. While Sr took care of piloting the boat, Jr handled all the fishing duties and they make a great team. Between fish, Mike Jr educated us about the local area, the fishing inustry, and the fish we were catching. Really felt like he and his dad were part of our group, not just hired guides. I look forward to going out with them again!

Captain Mike and Mike Jr were awesome to fish with. They made sure to stay on the fish and it paid off because I caught a variety of fish. Fish were not biting great so they changed tactics and moved to locations where we did end up catching several fish. Ending the day by catching a couple nice sharks. Mike and Mike jr. were great! Definitely going to book with them next time we’re in Myrtle beach.
