His boat is the “Top Gun II,” a 45’ Hatteras offshore sportfisher vessel that will make sure you’re fishing the deep waters in style. She’s powered by a pair of 500 HP Cummins engines, and has recently been completely refitted from the bottom up. She’s got an air-conditioned interior and a pair of private heads, convenient for longer offshore trips.
The Top Gun II was made to tackle deep waters teeming with big fish, and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing! Trophy pelagics are the name of the game around here, so expect to go after the likes of Sailfish, Marlin, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, and others. Those in the market for Tuna will have a great time kite fishing for the biggest Blackfins around.
Top Gun Charters will provide you with everything you’ll need for a successful trip on the water. This includes rods, reels, terminal tackle, and the necessary fishing licenses. All you need to do is bring a pair of polarized sunglasses and some sunscreen. Feel free to pack some drinks and snacks too, if you’re so inclined.
The crew will work tirelessly to make sure you have a great time on the water, and a 20% tip for the mate is customary. Take a trip in these awesome waters and you’ll be hooked for life!

My buddies and I spent two great days on the water with Capt. Nel and First Mate Riley. Both guys are masters at their craft - we had multiple bites, and helped us catch the Sword pictured. The boat is fully equipped with the latest gear and is outfitted with a nice cabin (air conditioned, leather couches) and head for long days on the water. I told Nel, I would be back - and I plan on doing so. Book with confidence these guys are great at what they do - and that's putting you on the fish.

Had a great time with Capt Nel and the deckhand Marcus. Knowledgeable, friendly crew and comfortable boat with AC inside to cool off after fighting a fish. Everybody on the boat hooked up a nice fish and we even got into a Sailfish that got away before reaching the boat. Would recommend to other anglers, we will be back 🎣

We had a fantastic time Top Gun is the Top Gun of Charters! We caught fish throughout the day, trolling and kite fishing, Capt Nel put us on the fish and 1st Mate Jose helped us land one after another. They were super patient with us as it was our first time fishing these waters. My wife, daughters and I had a blast! Thank You Top Gun! We’ll see you next year!
