+17With Triangle Fishing, the beautiful waters of the Azores will be all yours. From Mahi Mahi and Triggerfish to Grouper and Tuna, you will be able to make your very own catch possible.
Explore the local waters from the comfort of your own boat. You will be fishing aboard a 21’ performance boat, which has been putting clients on fish since 2010. This is an excellent vessel for up to 6 passengers plus the guide.
The boat comes powered by a single 150 HP Volkswagen engine and is rigged with a GPS, a fishfinder, and a VHF radio to save your time while searching for the big one. There is also an icebox on board to keep your catch fresh during the day and a livewell loaded with bait to make sure no fish can resist your hooks.
Triangle Fishing offer five and nine-hour trips that are good all year round. If you have a busy schedule and want to just check the bite and wet your line, a half-day adventure is ideal for you. While those who are up to a challenge will be able to test their angling skills and fish around the islands for something bigger. You will be able to try your hand at bottom fishing, pole and line fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning.
Your main target will depend on the season and will include Tuna, Grouper, Triggerfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Bonito, and Amberjack to name a few. To make a great catch possible, you will be provided with all rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing licenses. A complimentary fish cleaning service and bottled water will also be available.

Great Fishing Trip with Roger

We were 2 people and went out for fishing with Roger. He is a professional fisherman and told us a lot of interesting things about fishes around the Islands and about several fishing methods. We had a great experience on this day when we fished around 100 Kilo of Triggerfish. Those fishes are great fighters and it was a lot of fun to get them out of the water. In the end, Roger was filleting our catch live on the ocean and explains interesting things about his method. We could keep as much fish as we want and we can say that the Triggerfish is one of the delicious fish we ever had. Roger also gives us good instructions to fry or grill the fish. For those people who don’t want to cook on their own, he has an agreement with a restaurant where you can take your catch and they cook it for you for a small cooking fee. Overall we had a lot of fun with Roger and I can highly recommend to go fishing with him!! Great time and thanks again for this very nice adventure!!!

I was born on Faial Island in 1977, where I grew up with a deep passion for the ocean. I started fishing at a young age, gaining experience in many traditional fishing activities, from small wooden boats to the bigger Tuna fishing vessels. Also, freediving and sustainable spearfishing became popular activities. My experience and passion for the ocean led me to buy my own fishing boat to earn my living. And I decided to initiate a project allowing visitors to the Azores to join in a traditional fishing activity, to have a unique experience learning about the ocean and Azorean traditions. I now also have the opportunity to receive visitors at my “Casa do Cais, Casa do Guardião and Deck”, my ocean house and tourism places, where people have a wonderful base for a fantastic holiday right on the oceanfront.
