Muskies And More Guide Service invites you to explore everything that the Twin City Metro area has to offer. Spend your day on a walk-in trip for Rainbow and Brown Trout or checking the bite on Lake Minnetonka, head to White Bear Lake or Lake Independence, Ice fish Lake Riley and West Rush Lake or enjoy your day on the Mississippi River Pool 2 or 3 – the opportunities are limitless!
Your guide, USCG tested and approved, Captain Brian Koshenina, has over four decades of fishing experience. He is a patient angler who enjoys fishing with seasoned veterans and families alike. Everyone is welcome to join in the adventure!
Brian’s goal is to catch fish but also relax, have fun, and make some fantastic memories. He will greet you with a warm welcome on his 2017 Ranger Angler 19’ boat 15 minutes before the trip. You will be guided through the basics and sign a release form. Then, the boat’s 150 HP Yamaha engine will power you to the hottest grounds in the area, and it’s Fish On!
The list of your potential catches will include Crappie, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, Walleye, Musky, and Northern Pike. All the necessary and up-to-date equipment will be provided for the trip, including top-notch brands like Abu Garcia, Favorite Fishing, Onyx Outdoor Gear, Just Encase, Hook Look Musky Rods, Mitchell, Daiwa, Shimano, Snyders Lures, Panfish Plastics, and more.

Great captain, will book again
Brian took our 3-man crew out for 4 hrs (morning) of musky trolling on Tonka in mid-August. He put us on fish, but they didn't cooperate. We caught a decent northern and saw a trophy musky near the surface, but no strikes. We still had a great time and will try again with Brian another time. Brian is a great captain. He is knowledgeable and personable. His gear is top-notch and worked flawlessly. His boat is comfortable and well-equipped. Our group had a wide range of experience levels, and Brian was a good fit for all of us: Plenty of friendly coaching for the newbie and good insights/tips for the veterans. I'll also note that Brian offered to target other species for the last 90 mins, but we held out for a musky. I would not hesitate to recommend Brian to a friend.

A Day To Never Forget
My son and I (only child and 12 going on 35 đ) have been on many charters together. Heâs an avid fisherman and Iâm a dedicated first mate- everything between catching Shark and Big Tuna in Gloucester, MA all the way to a tiny speed boat cozied up in Lake Geneva, WI. Captain Brian made our trip! He was by far the best captain weâve ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Not only did we get to speak with him on the phone prior to our trip to MN, we left with hugs. He was professional, ensured we had extremely comfortable life jackets on, a pristinely clean boat, fabulous equipment and exotic lures. He knew exactly where to catch the best and most fish for that day, time of day and weather. We caught dozens. However, what made this trip A Day to Remember was more than just about business acumen and cleanliness and knowledge, it was about the human spirit. He taught my son things with grace and humor, he treated him with respect and kept his spirits up as we spent the first couple hours targeting a species that would have been TOUGH to catch on a super hot day on Lake Minnetonka and made us feel like family. He was kind, gracious, hilarious yet appropriate, had stories and knew all kinds of âfishermanâs tricksâ to catch WHATEVER that lake felt like giving up that day. As we headed back to shore with the gorgeous Crappie and Pumpkinseed (the fish we chose to keep and cook) in his cooler, my 12 year old reached out his hand and grabbed mine and squeezed it all the way back to the shore. There was an unspoken knowledge between the two of us that that day was A Day to Remember. Not just because we caught fish, not just because he and I were together, not just because we were on vacation in a beautiful boat on a beautiful lake, but because Captain Brian was at the helm and made it unforgettable.

13th Birthday on Lake Minnetonka
Captain Brian gave my dad and my son a fishing trip theyâll never forget! They went out on Lake Minnetonka from and had an absolute blast. They caught tons of fish, and my son came home absolutely glowingâhe said it was one of the most fun things heâs ever done and that he definitely wants to go again someday. Captain Brian was so kind, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the lake. He made the experience fun and easy for all ages. His boat was amazingâsuper clean, well-equipped, and even had an underwater camera setup that let them see the fish and when it was biting in real time. My son thought that was the coolest thing ever! Weâre so grateful for the memories made and would 100% recommend Captain Brian to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly fishing trip on Lake Minnetonka. Heâs the real deal!

We had an absolutely amazing day out on the water with Captain Brain or as the kids now call him, "Captain Dude!" From the moment we got on the boat, he made everyone feel welcome and excited for the trip ahead. He was incredible with the younger kids. He was patient, funny, and totally in tune with keeping them engaged and safe while still having a great time. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and he made sure everyone was part of the action. We caught tons of fish and made some great memories. Captain Brain clearly knows his stuff, but more importantly, he knows how to create an experience thatâs fun, relaxed, and unforgettable. Highly recommend booking a trip with him, you wonât regret it!
