Whitecap Charters – Little Traverse Bay
No trip to Lake Michigan comes complete without Whitecap Charters. This family-friendly company is owned and operated by Captain Kent Seymour, an experienced angler and a patient guide. His crew won’t be saving their words to introduce you to the basics of fishing – they will work hard to make sure you fill your cooler and make a great catch possible.
The season begins in May and goes through October. You will be using light tackle in spring and summer and will then switch to heavy tackle fishing later in the season.
The list of your potential catches will include Coho and Chinook Salmon, Walleye, Lake and Brown Trout, Yellow Perch, and Steelhead. On your day out on Lake Michigan, you will be using high-quality gear and tackle by Shimano, Okuma, and Ugly Stik.
The ‘Whitecap II’ is a 27’ American International cuddy cabin boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers. She is fully outfitted with everything you need for a productive day on Lake Michigan, from top-notch electronics to a private restroom.
All trips include the use of gear, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning service. Catering is also available for an extra fee for those busy anglers who have no time to grab lunch and drinks with them.
