Captain Piero Della Tomasa has been fishing these waters for 35 years, and his favorite part of running a charter is building relationships with his guests. If you’re looking for a friendly and productive day on the water, he’s your guy!
MBS Blu Charter offers trips from a variety of nearby locations, including Capri, Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and Naples. Just let Capt. Piero know which one works best for you! No matter where you depart from, you’ll have the opportunity to cruise plentiful fishing grounds for a variety of inshore or offshore superstars. Capt. Piero will also show you how to reel in your fishing using the local “bolentino” drifting technique!
You’ll be traveling in a 34’ Mainship Pilot Express offshore sport fishing vessel. She can accommodate up to 10 anglers, and there’s plenty of room for you to fish at the same time. She’s equipped with all of the latest navigational and safety equipment, including a full, private toilet. Get ready to travel in plenty of comfort and style! You’ll be treated to snacks and drinks, including soda, beer, and white wine, and there’s a refrigerator onboard to keep everything chilled.
Capt. Piero prides himself on running a charter that offers first-class angling experiences: whether it’s deep sea fishing for hard-fighters such as Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and Swordfish; coastal trolling for the hottest nearshore bite; or jigging and using a local drifting method for Amberjack and huge Red Snapper. You’ll be accompanied by a first mate, who will be on hand to help you perfect your technique.
You’ll be provided with top-quality rods and reels on your trip, and will be fishing for your own live bait, so get ready to reel ‘em in. Come aboard MBS Blu Charter for a top-notch adventure out on these productive waters!

Full Day Trip
Full day with Piero, shore fishy
We caught a ton of small fish. Kids caught enough they got tired of fishing, so we went snorkeling. The water was clear and we seen some really cool fish and sea urchins. Captain Peiro spoke great English and was a great guide.

Half Day Trip – AM
June fishing trip
Captain Mike only took us out a very short distance from the doc. which not a big deal but the fish he directed us to catch were all in total length between three inches and four inches. They looked more like bate fish. We were extremely surprised when the captain told us we would keep these and eat them later which we told him we didn’t want to. He had told us by phone we were going to be fish around 8 to 12inches. Very disappointing. After two hours we told him to take us back. Never again and I’m glad you sent me a survey so this might help the next group looking for a trip.
