Steelhead fishing is a rewarding experience, captain Mike of Vancouver island sportfishing knows just how fun this experience can be, and he is ready to show you the great fishery of the Stamp/Somass river in the Beautiful Port Alberni valley.
To start things off on the right foot, you will come aboard an 18' custom-built jet boat outfitted with a 140 HP Suzuki engine to get you to the most productive fishing grounds. There's enough room for 2 anglers to cast their lines on the vessel, and Shimano rods and reels are provided for the expedition. Maybe you're a flyrodder and you'd like to test your hand in these waters, and you're free to do so as long as you bring your own fly fishing equipment.
Captain Mike has over 20 years of fresh and saltwater guiding experience, and a lifetime of successful angling experience,
Going after steelhead and salmon is his specialty, charters are available July-April with peak steelhead being Oct - Feb.
You will have everything you need when it comes to fishing, it's up to you to bring food and drinks to stay in top shape throughout the trip. After your adventure is done, the captain will clean and fillet the catch for you,
