San Antonio Fishing Charters
A veteran-owned, family business, San Antonio Fishing Charters knows just what it is you want and deserve from a fishing trip. Tailoring to clients of all ages, everyone is welcome aboard to make their first catch. Based on the fruitful Calaveras Lake, trips will target a range of exciting species for you to take home with you at the end of a productive day.
You’ll set sail aboard a pristine 25’ El Pescador center console, with plenty of space for 4 anglers plus the captain to fish. Specifically designed with fishing in mind, you’ll have excellent visibility of the water beneath and room to steady yourself as you battle it out. Equipped with a fishfinder, GPS, and VHF radio, you’ll have no trouble navigating these waters. She comes powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine, so you’ll speed off to the sweet spots in no time.
Fish have been introduced to the Calaveras Lake reservoir over the years to provide excellent fishing opportunities. Largemouth and Hybrid Striped Bass, Redfish, and Blue Catfish are prominent in this rich lake, and you’ll go after them by trolling, jigging, spinning, or popping as you drift along.
Top-of-the-range rods, reels, and tackle will be provided and you’ll be reeling in the big ones from the moment you spot your first fish. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you to take home, and you won’t want to miss out, as all of these fish prove delicious dinner options. Bottled water is also provided, so you’ll stay hydrated and refreshed all day. All you need to do, then, is get booking and hop aboard. See you on the water!

Half day trip with cold weather and fog
We had heavy fog in the morning but it cleared up just enough and just in time for us to launch. Within the first 30-45 minutes of being out there, we had our first bite of the day and it stayed pretty consistent for the rest of the trip. The fish weren’t biting hard so the Captain helped us keep an eye on the rods and taught us what to look for in the conditions we were in. Whenever he would switch to a new bait or a new spot, he’d explain his reasoning for it and had us feeling like we were on the same page and a team out there. At the end, he made quick work of cleaning and bagging our catch and we’re looking forward to our next trip with San Antonio Fishing Charters. We’d recommend him to anyone and everyone.
