Captain Lenny Vaughan is a passionate tournament angler who wants your trip with him to be more than just fishing. In addition to landing your personal best, you'll also get to enjoy the natural beauty of the protected Manistee National Forest, home to bald eagles, beavers, minks, and various other animal species.
Captain Lenny invites you to spend the day aboard his 21' custom-built jet boat, perfect for 4 anglers fishing at the same time. Powered by a 260 HP Ford F-350 motor, it will take you to the best fisheries in no time. The boat features top-notch safety gear and marine electronics, AC, a cooler, a live bait tank, and a portable toilet.
Your 6-hour charter will take you exploring the best spots of the Manistee River and Manistee Lake. The captain likes to use the day as much as possible so you'll have maximum time on the water during daylight. When it comes to your targets, you'll be focusing on Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, and Brown Trout.
The captain will provide you with a variety of fishing gear, including fly, spinning, and trolling rods. Lures and live bait, depending on your preference, are also provided – you'll have everything needed for a top day on the water.
Pickups from the Manistee airport are also covered, as well as pickups from a motel the captain is partnered with. The best part is that you'll get a discount if you stay at that motel, located only 10 minutes from the boat launch.

Post spawn, cold and rainy, three boys (2 younger). Lenny has his work cut out for him. He prevailed tremendously. He worked hard to keep the four of us entertained as we spent long hours searching for fish that just weren’t there due to an early spawn. I highly recommend him for families. We will be going back this summer to try the big lake.
Worked hard to get our fish and made the trip comfortable in adverse weather conditions. Highly recommended
Captain Lenny provided a great day of fishing for grandpa, his son and two middle school grandsons. Lots of fun, loads of fish and lifelong memories. We will definitely do this again.
Fun trip, Captain was well prepared.
