Whether on foot or aboard a 10’ Arctic Cat snowmobile, you’ll get to the sweet spots in less than 30 minutes thanks to the crew’s “flasher.” As they drill the holes, you can help set up the ice huts. They come with radiators and are well insulated, so you can sit back, enjoy the warmth, and wait to be called into action by the biting fish. Everything you need for a productive day is provided, so just bring some snacks and drinks to stay refreshed.
Fishing Lake Ontario and its tributaries is fruitful year-round. Winter time can be even more productive, with fewer people on the water, giving you exclusive access. Using live bait to entice the bite, you’ll go after exciting and tough-fighting Walleye, Pike, and Trout, among others. These fun fish will also make for great table fare, and at the end of the day, you’ll be treated to a cleaning and filleting service to take your catch home for a hearty meal.
