For hardcore fishermen, there are outriggers to maximize your trolling potential, and a fighting chair – perfect for battling your dream Mahi Mahi or Sailfish!

Excellent morning with Captain Labonne
Afternoon poping fishing on December 27, 2024
Today’s fishing trip with Jean Luc was incredible! We originally attempted to book for Christmas Day, however after booking Captain Labonne contacted us right away with information that sea/fishing conditions were not ideal and so we rescheduled for 2 days later - and it was well worth the wait. We were staying relatively far from the listed meeting point, but we’re picked up by Jean Luc much closer to our location, saving us time and cab fare which was a most welcome and kind gesture. Seas were calm and the boat steady (so no seasickness) and we managed to catch several fish, with the captain’s expertise, during the 3 hour trip. I highly recommend Mariaboat charters and would definitely book with Captain Labonne again!

Afternoon Big Game Fishing on November 27, 2024
WE start early in the morning and look to find a Spot.It Take time but we hooked 2 fishes.One we lost but the second was good hooked.First the fish was good too drill one the chair, but suddenly all the fishpower come over me and the fish take more than 150 m Line. The Captain bend me on the chair and I can give better answer to the actions. After pulling for a long Time,for me Like eternity WE saw firstime the fish ITS a shark.The last meters to the boat the Captain takeover for catch and release.The Captain said ITS a fine 3m shark.A video ist available in demand May thanks too the crew.

Big Game Fishing at its Best
Half Day Trip on January 21, 2025
Yesterday I did the half day fishing trip with the goal to fulfill a dream of catching a yellow fin tuna. Everything about the trip was perfect, from the communication leading upto the trip to the crews excellent local knowledge and within less than 2 hours from setting off the rod screamed into life and an epic yellow fin tuna battle made a dream come true. If you are in Mauritius and want to go fishing look no further!

"I started fishing with my dad in 1987. I was 5 years old when l caught my first fish, which was a Grouper. One year later, I caught my first Skipjack Tuna, and my passion for fishing started from there!" Capt. Labonne is a lifelong fishing fanatic. As well as fishing for leisure during his childhood, he also worked on many boats, including his father's. In fact, the boat that he now uses to run his charter is his dad's boat! He loves meeting new people and fishing with them, and also loves the sound of the reels when the fish has been caught.
