Six Shooter Charters operates out of Pensacola, FL, offering a range of trips targeting all the Gulf’s top species. Florida’s Emerald Coast is famous throughout the country for its amazing food fishing, with vibrant reefs full of delicious table fare. The area also boasts incredible sport fishing for those willing to make the journey.
Hit the local reefs for Mangrove Snapper, Triggerfish, and Mackerel, or head further out for Red and Vermillion Snappers, Amberjack, Grouper, and much, much more. Up for even more of a challenge? Head to the very heart of the Gulf of Mexico to battle Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, and the ultimate bluewater beast – Marlin.
You will be fishing aboard a 39 foot Topaz Royale air conditioned sportfishing yacht. The boat can carry up to six anglers, and cruises at a speedy 21 knots to get you to the best spots in no time. Don’t worry about a bumpy ride, though, her massive size makes her rock-steady both on the move and at anchor.
You will have a choice of light and heavy tackle to use on your trip, with live bait fresh from the tank and a range of lifelike lures. Depending on the trip, you could be trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, or even spearfishing.
You don’t need to be an expert to fish with Six Shooter Charters. Families and children are always welcome. You will have a skilled first mate working alongside you all trip to make sure you stay hooked up, and he will even fillet your fish for you at the end of the day. Just remember to bring ziplock bags and a cooler to put all your tasty fish in.

3/4 Day Trip – Bottom Fishing
Absolutely GREAT TRIP!!!
I chose The Six Shooters because of the reviews and they knocked it out of the park⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Captain Evan was very knowledgeable, and knew how to fish. It was late in the season and the past two weeks it’s been sub par because of the weather. WE STILL caught a limit, I asked Captain Doug, the Owner, to let me know ahead of time if the weather was going to be bad and he contacted me 2 days, and the day before to let me know we were gonna beat the weather. My wife is 7 months pregnant, Captain Doug called me the night before to let me know the generator was broke down, and that they would be working on it through the night to make sure we had A/C. THIS CAPTAIN BOUGHT A BRAND NEW GENERATOR, so that my wife and family would not go without A/C. They went above and beyond any expectations for us. A great deck hand, a great captain, a GREAT DAY of fishing!

8 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing
What a great time!!!
Our 8 hour trip out with Six Shooters was totally AWESOME!!! My wife and I went out on June 2, 2025. Red snapper season had just come in and we caught our limit with most being decent size and one was definitely on the larger size. We also caught our share of vermillion and white snappers. The excitement for me though was hooking into and finally landing a large Bonita. Put up a great fight!!! We then headed back into port and trolled but didn’t have luck with that. All in all we had a fantastic day. Captain Evan got on top of some primo spots and we kept first mate John busy. The captain(s) and crew were quite helpful and considerate to us newbies. They also told us where to go to have our fresh fish cooked for supper and the taste of that red snapper was outstanding!!! You won’t be disappointed with booking a trip on this boat with this crew!!!

Family birthday trip
We enjoyed a wonderful day on the water today with this crew. They were attentive and helpful. They worked hard to make sure we caught a limit of snapper and we were even lucky enough to catch a few mahi. They were great with our teenage kids and even attended to those of us who got a little sea sick. They cleaned our fish and we went home with enough fish to feed our family at least 4 delicious fish dinners. We would definitely use this charter again and would recommend this crew highly. Evan and John John were amazing!

Terrific Experience on Six Shooter!
We had a great day on the water with Captain Doug and 1st Mate John. This trip was a gift from my parents to my son, so we had 3 generations on the boat. My son did a ton of research online before deciding on this charter and it was everything he hoped for. We caught a lot of fish! Ended up being 4 short of our limit. Doug is an expert captain and John is the hardest workiing mate I’ve seen. We even had 2 bonus experiences during the charter. Some dolphin sightings and the Blue Angels practicing overhead. Amazing day!

Captain Evan and First Mate John provided nothing short of a memorable experience for me and my buddies. They allowed us to fish for dinner while we were waiting for the sharks to bite. And anytime the bait was dropped down, it wasn't more than 10 minutes before we hooked into a shark. The bull took 90 minutes for 3 guys to haul in! Would fish with these guys again!
