Looking for a totally immersive and unique angling experience? What better place to explore than one of Africa’s longest rivers, bustling with some incredible, jumbo-sized species? Join Linecasters between July and August, and you’ll have the chance to escape reality for 5 nights as you cruise down the Kwanza River and cast off for gigantic Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Threadfin, and more.
You’ll be joined by Captain Fred Steynberg, one of the most experienced guides this side of South Africa. He’s fished various world-class destinations such as Mozambique, Cuba, Mexico, and, of course, along the Kwanza River. He has plenty of knowledge when it comes to the species that inhabit this tropical paradise, and after spending 4 days and 5 nights alongside him, you’ll gain plenty of insight – and an incredible catch, too!
When you join Capt. Fred, you’ll be fishing from his 26’ Butt Cat walkaround vessel, built to cruise this incredible river in plenty of comfort and safety. She’s equipped with top-quality navigational and safety gear, and has room for up to 3 guests to tangle lines with the monster Tarpon and Jack Crevalle that call these waters home, amongst others!
You’ll also have the chance to battle Cubera Snapper and Giant Threadfin, using a mix of techniques, including fly fishing and spinning. Most of your angling action will take place close to the banks of the river, where shoals of Tarpon and Jack Crevalle can even often be sight fished!
When you’re not out on the river, you’ll spend your time relaxing in a comfortable, air-conditioned, log cabin, with full meals included. Every room has a spectacular view – you’ll either overlook the river on one side, or the sea on the other! It’s the perfect place to wind down after battling huge fish, and will give you time to rest up for your next day of action.
Your trip includes fishing gear, transportation, meals, and lodging. Grab your passport and join Linecasters for an angling adventure that’s truly like no other!
