Gulf Bay Charters is set on a safe and friendly experience, all while chasing the targeted fish. Captain Jake Durant and his business partner grew up fishing in Pensacola, which gave them a powerful advantage on knowing where the fish are and where they’re going to next. They have the experience, knowledge, and confidence to offer a catch guarantee or your next trip is free.
Your adventure starts in the Southwind Marina, as soon as you onboard your captain’s 25’ Skeeter bay boat. She’s been newly built in 2020 and comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. Powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine, the boat also features navigational electronics, safety equipment, and a live bait tank.
Your fishing spots depend on weather conditions and fish activity. You can go all the way from Pensacola to Gulf Shores, visit local backrivers, and pass along the beach, bays, and nearby reefs and wrecks. You’re most likely to catch Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, and Jack Crevalle.
Your captain will provide you with brand new fishing equipment and prepare cold water and sodas. Feel free to bring your own cooler for more drinks and some snacks. You can keep the fish you catch if it’s within legal limits and the captain will gladly clean and fillet it for you.

Successful Quick Trip
Had a blast with Captain Jake! Booked a 4 hour trip inshore. Jake took us to several different spots and was able to get us on redfish, king mackerel, and mangrove snapper. Captain Jake was so much fun, knowledgeable, very patient and willing to teach a midlevel and beginner angler. I highly recommend Captain Jake and look forward to booking future trips with Gulf Bay Charters 2! Thank you Jake!

Best trip ever!!
I have a bout done away with fishing on charter boats after the last couple experiences because years ago I had a captain that I really enjoyed in a great place I’ve had several I liked in the last couple times I went were terrible but this captain Jake revived my interest in coming back and doing it again we had such a great time catching fish and fun it was worth every second of it is a little further than we drove we’re going to drive but once we got there met him and went out fishing with him I would drive it all over again and it was only like 20 miles from where we were staying at I would recommend anybody and I will recommend anybody to take care of that again

Father's Day trip
Capt. Jake was awesome!! We had some serious sketchy weather, he was confident in the forecast and that we would get our trip in. The weather had been awful the previous few days and even the day off and he still managed to put myself and my two sons on some big Redfish despite the less than ideal conditions! Both Jake and his 1st mate Luke were total professionals and I wouldn't hesitate to book a trip with them again!!! Chad B

Great Trip
It was a great trip, had a lot of fun. I've been before up in Maine and I fish regularly from my bass boat on Vermont lakes. We pulled a variety of fish out. There were Dolphins by the boat, bald eagles, nice weather. Two of my family members have never been before and they had a great time. Jake and his crew member did a great job helping and showing everyone the ropes. Will be doing another trip!
