If you’re looking to get the pulses racing, then Savage Charters is the place to be. Just a stone’s throw from Portsmouth, and an hour from Boston, there’s no excuse not to come aboard for the trip of your life.
Captain Jamie Savage is a lifelong fishing nut. He learned all the tricks of the trade commercial fishing and decided to share his skills with others. Come aboard and discover the best ways to land all that the Gulf of Maine has to offer.
The 36’ Wayne Beal downeast boat is just the vessel to help you hook monster fish. Built to cut through the choppy waters of the Atlantic, you’ll have no trouble getting out to the fishing grounds.
Up to 6 guests are welcome aboard for Haddock trips, while up to 4 guests can battle it out on Giant Bluefin Tuna trips. Make yourself at home on the comfy couch inside the cabin or enjoy the fresh sea air out on the deck. The F/V Out of Line also has a galley and toilet. Bring a cooler on board to keep your drinks and snacks, and leave one in the car to fill with your catch after the trip.
Catch some live bait on your way out to sea, as you embark on the ultimate fishing adventure. Drop deep and jig as you bottom fish the banks and ledges to lure the bite of some delicious Haddock and other Groundfish. Fill the boat with these beasts and end the day with a smile on your face.
Going after Tuna will require patience and persistence. Growing to sizes like you’d never imagine, giant Bluefins can be upwards of 1000 lbs. Let Captain Jamie guide you to bring one aboard and then head home with an incredible story to tell for years to come!
After a day of haddock fishing you’re sure to head home with something tasty, and, at the end of your trip, the captain will clean and fillet your catch. For Tuna trips, the captain is compelled to keep any tuna longer than 73 inches, but you’ll take home everything else. Come aboard and make the most of this thrilling opportunity with Savage Charters!
