Captain Andrew Hendrickson is a true outdoorsman. A fishing guide all year-round on the Great Lakes and beyond, he specializes in ice fishing in the winter. Having fished for over 40 years, he has all the experience necessary to get you reeling in some big and exciting fish.
Using a sonar – a specialized fishfinder for frozen bodies of water – you'll seek out the most productive spots of the day. Captain Andrew and his mate will whizz you and up to 4 others away on the snowmobiles, before deciding where to set up camp. Watch as they drill with the auger, as you help set up the heated ice tent.
Try jigging with live bait to entice the bite of your target fish, or sit back and let the tip-up do the work. Get ready to spring into action at the sight of the moving flag, as you'll be in for an intense battle to reel in a delicious treat. Yellow Perch may prove a little easier, but the tough-fighting Walleye will do anything to get away from the end of your line!
At the end of the trip, your captain or mate will clean and prepare your catch, so you're in for a warming, tasty treat when you get home. Andrew and Gary were wonderful in teaching us to use the sonar and tip-ups. Due to it being early in the ice fishing season Andrew took us to a different location that was actually frozen. The pop-up tent was useful and heater was a nice source to stay warm. We got lucky with a calm day so didn't use the tent as much. But we caught fish and learned a lot. Great time had by all.

He used to fish tournaments and has perfected his technique over a lifetime's fishing. However, running charters cannot compare to tournament fishing. Capt. Andrew just loves teaching people new techniques and – the best part of the job – seeing people having fun thanks to his guidance.
