Get ready for some of the most exciting inshore action you can get with Slobby Joe Charters! Captain Joe starts his trips in St. Petersburg but they are not limited to Tampa Bay’s flats and backwater only. You can also get to Clearwater and fish in the Gulf! Besides providing a great day on the water, Captain Joe Burruezo gives a true Tampa experience to his clients.

Capt. Joe welcomes you aboard his 23’ Ranger bay boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. She has been restored in 2017 and she’s powered by a 300 HP Mercury engine. The boat is purposely built for shallow water and easily makes her way through the backwaters. As it also has a silent trolling motor, you can easily sneak up on fish.

Capt. Joe will tailor the trip to match your needs. Whether you want to stay in the bay or head out to the Gulf, he’ll tell you what can be caught and what is the best way to do it. The variety of fish species in this area is amazing and you can catch anything from Sharks, Redfish, to Snapper, Jack Crevalle, and Spanish Mackerel. If you’re targeting huge Tarpon or Snook, the best opportunity is from May till August.

Your trip package also includes fishing equipment, a license, live bait, lures, and catch cleaning and filleting. The captain will also provide water but feel free to bring other drinks or snacks of your choice.

Despite his name, “Slobby” Joe has the reputation of being one of the most welcoming and dedicated captains in this fishing paradise. Book a trip with him and you’ll understand why most of his clients keep coming back!
