Capt. Elvin will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Cero Mackerel, Jack, Bass, Tarpon, Snook, and Barracuda, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as trolling, fly fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 30’ offshore sport fishing boat that can safely take up to 3 anglers.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Fishing licenses are available at an additional charge of $15 for 8 days or $25 for 1 month. Tortuguero Sport Fishing offers only catch and release trips, so any fish you catch will be returned to the water. The boat will be supplied with snacks, drinks, and lunch for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Capt. Elvin, or more commonly known as "Primo", is a Tortuguero native. Originally from Parismina, he has made Tortuguero his home for over 25 years. Having run a successful, honest business, he's well-known and liked in the village, famous for his passion for the outdoors and, of course, fishing. Capt. Primo knows all there is about Tortuguero's seas and rivers as well as the wildlife. He will be your captain on the 25' Mako boat, while Capt. Clifford from Colorado, just an hour away from Tortuguero, will take the wheel on the super panga.
