Legacy Charters
+16Start your journey with Legacy Charters! They are located on Cotton Bayou in Orange Beach, Al, and offer fishing trips year round. This charter is operated by Captain Mandy, who’s been fishing in the area for a long time. Anglers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join, so hop aboard!
The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 40’ Michael Fitz that accommodates up to 20 guests. This walk around style boat has lots of deck space, so each angler can fish in comfort. She’s powered by twin 330 HP Cummins engines that will help you get to your fishing spot in no time. The cabin is equipped with cold air conditioners and a clean restroom for your comfort, while you and your family enjoy a day of deep sea fishing on the Gulf.
There’s lots of trips to choose from. You can find something as short as a 4-hour trolling trip or as long as a 12-hour deep sea fishing. Some of the species you can go after are Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Amberjack, Grouper, Triggerfish, and more.
Your fishing licenses and equipment are included in the price. You only need to prepare your food and drinks for the day. It is customary to tip the deckhand 20% of the total charter price. Fish cleaning is available at 30 cents a pound. Your catch will be cleaned and packaged for your trip back home.

Wonderful fishing trip

We had nine adults and a set of 18-month-old twins. It was a very nice fishing trip. They were quick to respond to questions I had before the trip. Vast knowledge of the area and the type of fish we were catching. I would highly recommend.

Vermilion Snapper
5 Hour Trip (AM) on May 31, 2025
Just our luck, but we ended up taking our trip the day before Red Snapper season opened. Luckily, Captain Jamie was able to put us on plenty of Vermilion Snapper. Great day overall and I highly recommend their 5hr trip.

4 Hour Trip (PM) – Trolling on August 3, 2024
Captain Mandy and her deckhand were absolutely great. So sweet. We unfortunately didn’t catch anything trolling so Captain Mandy decided to change it up and let us do some bottom fishing. Unfortunately we only caught 3 big enough to keep but we had so much fun with the kids catching and releasing what we couldn’t keep. We are already talking about planning a trip next summer.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
