I don’t leave reviews very often on the internet about any of my purchases or experiences. I have to be really impressed or really disappointed to be motivated enough to leave a review. This full-day catfishing trip with Captain Bobby Winters at Bob’s Guide Service Encore was top notch! My son and I chose a trip with Capt. Bobby because of the other positive reviews and they were all accurate!  My son ended up not being able to go.  My brothers and a couple of fishing buddies could not break free at the last minute either.  But, it was still shaping up for me to put a check mark on the bucket list!  Capt. Bobby and First Mate, Dor, were ready to go right at 7am!  Parking was right in front of his boat dock.  All I had to do is grab my fishing license, backpack with some snacks and sunscreen; and my small cooler with a half dozen bottles of water and step on board.  Capt. Bobby and Dor kept 6 to 7 rods baited up and in the water, gave me plenty of tips, and even netted and unhooked the fish!  Capt. Bobby provided all the fishing gear needed. The bait casting rod and reel combos were in excellent shape.  If the line got snagged and broken off, they got it rigged again and ready to go!  Fuel was covered as well. The first stop started out a little slow; but then the 3 to 5 pounders started biting.  I knew it was going to be a good day catching!  Then, a couple of fishing spots later, at about 11:30 am, the rod doubled and it was FISH ON!  After a few minutes of heavy lifting and reeling and keeping it out from under the boat, Dor netted the biggest catch of my life!  After a few quick pictures, it was released healthy back into the water to grow even bigger and fight again one day. It was a great day of fellowship, fishing .... and catching…. with Capt. Bobby and Dor!  It is well worth the money! I gave them a generous tip since the cost of the trip can barely cover the use of the boat, fuel, gear and bait. His knowledge, experience and time are even more valuable!  Thanks, Capt. AAA++ experience. Took my 82 year old father on a striper trip with Capt Bobby. We are both experienced salt water fishermen, but pretty green when it comes to fresh water. Bobby took the time to explain travel patterns and why we were fishing certain spots. He also was very patient and accommodating with my dad, who still loves to fish, but his body is slowing down. The weather was not cooperative at all, but he still put us on a good bite. Highly recommend him to anyone whether they are a seasoned angler, or a beginner. We will be using Capt Bobby again. 👍

Bobs guide service encore never fails to impress. We caught 10 good ones on Saturday before we got rained out at noon. On Sunday got 6 real good ones and the bite was slow but Captain didn’t give up. He moved and searched until we caught our fish. He really puts in the work and goes beyond what he should to make your trip enjoyable. I recommend Bobs guide service to anyone. Once again that’s captain for a great weekend.

Took my 8 year old son on his first ever fishing trip and he fell in love. As always Captain Bobby didn’t disappoint. He is very professional and will hunt down the big ones. This is our second trip with Captain Bob and it was great.  We went out and the first spot he took us to we had fish in the boat within minutes.  Due to weather we had to cut the trip short, but Capt. Bob took us out the next morning to complete our booking.  He was dead on again.  We caught more fish this time, and two 35lb+ cats, along with several others filling the cooler.  We will be going back!
