Captain Bajil Sentana is a native to the island and has been fishing his whole adult life. Having enjoyed his time out on the water as a hobby, he thought why not use it to put some food on the table. He soon realized that running charters is more than that, and he hopes to welcome you aboard to join his fishing family.
The 33' custom-built traditional Balinese 'Jukung' boat is a thing of beauty. Its double outriggers extend far beyond its narrow body and out into the water like spider's legs. You'll navigate all kinds of water and have perfect balance when battling it out against a monster fish. Just bring your own snacks and drinks to make the most of a thrilling day on board.
Head up to 1.5 hours offshore and troll to entice the bite of some beautiful, exciting, and downright delicious fish. In the deep, they'll grow to enormous sizes and you won't believe your eyes when reeling in a dazzling Nannygai, shining Trevally, radiant Coral Trout, and many more.
On reef trips, you'll target the same fish but without exploring such a vast expanse of water. Add to your list the Groupers and Barracuda, among more, and you'll have just as thrilling-a-time as offshore. These waters are also prime snorkeling locations. Discover the magical world underwater as you investigate the day-to-day lives of these tropical fish.
Up to 10 guests are welcome aboard, so bring a party with you and engage in a true cultural trip. Before you head out, you can even agree with the captain to pick you up somewhere on the water. We had an amazing day fishing with Captain Santana and couldn't recommend this trip enough. From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped back at our hotel, everything was seamless. Captain Santana and his daughter made us feel welcome from the start, and the transport was a really convenient touch. The fishing itself was fantastic. Captain Santana was friendly, knowledgeable and always on hand to help with baiting hooks, untangling lines and giving advice to make sure we had the best chance of catching fish. We ended up catching an incredible variety of colourful reef fish, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The boat was comfortable, the equipment was well maintained, and the entire trip was relaxed, well organised and great fun. You can tell Captain Santana genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone on board to have a brilliant experience. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali, and we'd happily book with Captain Santana again. If you're looking for a genuine, friendly and unforgettable fishing trip, look no further. Highly recommended!

We had a great time onboard with the captain, one adult, a 12 year old and a nine year old. Fish were biting as soon as the first line was dropped and we collectively caught about 26 fish (mostly snapper varieties and grouper) in 2 hours before going snorkelling nearby. The captain made sure we had suitable places to go snorkeling for the children and also that everyone was ok throughout the trip. The 4 hour trip is a good option for a mix of some fishing and snorkelling. We are looking forward to some fish cooked by our accommodation tonight! Thanks for a great experience!

Sentana is extremely accommodating. We had an active day, either getting bites or moving to the next spot quickly when there were no bites. Sometimes he hooked fish and let me reel them in. We caught total 13 fish, including yellowfin snapper and grouper, and 1 shark! You keep your catch and he can help you cook it.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
