Captain Bajil Sentana is a native to the island and has been fishing his whole adult life. Having enjoyed his time out on the water as a hobby, he thought why not use it to put some food on the table. He soon realized that running charters is more than that, and he hopes to welcome you aboard to join his fishing family.
The 33' custom-built traditional Balinese 'Jukung' boat is a thing of beauty. Its double outriggers extend far beyond its narrow body and out into the water like spider's legs. You'll navigate all kinds of water and have perfect balance when battling it out against a monster fish. Just bring your own snacks and drinks to make the most of a thrilling day on board.
Head up to 1.5 hours offshore and troll to entice the bite of some beautiful, exciting, and downright delicious fish. In the deep, they'll grow to enormous sizes and you won't believe your eyes when reeling in a dazzling Nannygai, shining Trevally, radiant Coral Trout, and many more.
On reef trips, you'll target the same fish but without exploring such a vast expanse of water. Add to your list the Groupers and Barracuda, among more, and you'll have just as thrilling-a-time as offshore. These waters are also prime snorkeling locations. Discover the magical world underwater as you investigate the day-to-day lives of these tropical fish.
Up to 10 guests are welcome aboard, so bring a party with you and engage in a true cultural trip. Before you head out, you can even agree with the captain to pick you up somewhere on the water. From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped back at our hotel, everything was seamless. Captain Santana and his daughter made us feel welcome from the start, and the transport was a really convenient touch. The fishing itself was fantastic. Captain Santana was friendly, knowledgeable and always on hand to help with baiting hooks, untangling lines and giving advice to make sure we had the best chance of catching fish. We ended up catching an incredible variety of colourful reef fish, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The boat was comfortable, the equipment was well maintained, and the entire trip was relaxed, well organised and great fun. You can tell Captain Santana genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone on board to have a brilliant experience. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali, and we’d happily book with Captain Santana again. If you’re looking for a genuine, friendly and unforgettable fishing trip, look no further. Sometimes he hooked fish and let me reel them in. We caught total 13 fish, including yellowfin snapper and grouper, and 1 shark! You keep your catch and he can help you cook it.

Fishing & snorkeling on August 13, 2024 • 2 adultsWe start the day at 5:45 pick up and saw a Nice sunrise! We did some shore trolling but the fish were not awake yet so we went off shore and the captain who is a great fisherman found a lot of wahoo, great fighting fish, we had a lot of fun! We caught some Mackerel as well and after a couple of hours we went snorkling, he placed us on a great spot with amazing looking fish. We enjoyed the day very much. After a good conversation with the captain he invited us to his restaurant were we could enjoy our own caught fish, how Nice is that. The fish was delicious and we enjoyed the hole night and drink together with the chef and captain. We definitely recommend this trip to every fisherman or great lover of Bali.

Sea conditions were very rough early, but Captain BAJIL very impressively and we never felt in any danger. Our main target was Giant Trevally today, and although we didn’t connect with any, we did catch some good sized Bonito which put up a fun fight on relatively light tackle, and made the trip totally worth it. Next time we’re in Bali, I will be booking with Captain BAJIL again!

Deepsea and jigging trip on July 5, 2025 • 2 adultsSuper stoked to get out on the water, fishing was a little slow but still caught a little barracuda on sunrise which was cool. Captain was very patient and happy to teach me new things so I learnt how to jig which was fun. Conditions were a little rough but felt completely safe the whole time. Would recommend.

Captain Sentana is so knowledgeable, friendly and has patience of a saint when sorting out many tangled lines! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 hours of fishing. On the way back we stopped in a beautiful snorkelling spot where we saw giant manterays. The scenery was just stunning and very relaxing on a perfect calm day. I highly recommend this trip. No frills just a great local with great knowledge . We will book again in our return visit.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
