Capt. Desmond is a lifelong fisherman who was raised in a family of anglers. When it comes to the waters of the Pacific NW, he has over 35 years of experience exploring them, and hooking the many species that live here. He loves using his wealth of knowledge to introduce guests to the ample angling opportunities on offer here, as well as teaching newbies his favorite local tips and tricks. For Capt. You’ll be exploring these waters from Capt. Desmond’s 23’ Alumaweld aluminum fishing vessel. She can accommodate up to 6 guests, making her the perfect option for a family day out, or single anglers who want to meet up to 5 new friends. She’s decked out with GPS, fishfinder, and life jackets in a variety of sizes – Capt. Desmond recommends bringing your own vests for little ones, however, to provide maximum comfort.
Ridgefield is known for being home to a variety of world-famous fish, including Salmon species such as huge Chinook, hard-fighting Coho, and tasty Sockeye, as well as prehistoric Sturgeon, Steelhead, and plenty more. great afternoon with Desmond. the boat and equipment are top grade quiet and fast. and desmond had everything ready on time with rods in water fishing wuickly. Desmond was expert and friendly guide with advice and finding fish for a successful afternoon really appreciated how well Desmnd cleaned and filleted our fish too ))
Went fishing for Coho salmon with my 8 yr old daughter for her birthday. We had a great tjme and each caught our limit. Our captain Desmond came prepared with everything we needed and was super layed back. He was so good at helpjng my daughter know what to do and have a good time.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, had a fishfinder, and took us out on the Columbia. Unfortunately, it was a very hot day and not really a good day for salmon. We enjoyed the trip on the boat ride; when you go on a river fishing trip, you’re never guaranteed, uh but we had a great time.
We had an amazing experience with Desmond! He was incredibly patient with our three kids, including our four-year-old, and made the whole trip fun and stress-free. His equipment was top-notch, and he took the time to explain everything in a way the kids could understand. He guided us through the process and worked hard to help us find and catch fish — even on a day when most others weren’t coming back with anything. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a great day on the water!
