Fishing the waters of Galveston has been the passion of the crew at Line Check Charters since a young age. This area is well-known as a great fishing location, and one of the main reasons for it are the abundance of fish species and year-round seasonality. Line Check Charters specialize in deep-sea outings for everybody, from the novices to the avid anglers.
Climb aboard Line Check Charters state of the art fishing machine. The custom 35’ Sea Hunter will get you to the fishing grounds with speed and comfort. She’s powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha V6 engines and can easily accommodate up to 6 guests. She features Garmin navigation electronics, safety equipment, outriggers, downriggers, and an icebox.
The trip options will amaze you! You can go bay and jetty fishing for Red and Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Spanish Mackerel; nearshore fishing for monster Bull Drum as well as some pelagic species, such as King Mackerel and Cobia; offshore fishing for Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, and Swordfish.
Your captain will supply you with a tackle by Accurate, Penn, and Shimano. A variety of live bait and lures are brought aboard, depending on what you’re targeting and how the fish are biting. Don’t forget to grab your fishing license before the trip, bring some snacks and drinks, and you’re all set!

Full Day Offshore + Fuel Cost
Best fishing trip I’ve been on!
This was our first deep sea trip. We had booked a shark trip in addition to this one. Due to weather we had to cancel the shark trip, but captain Mike got us out longer the following day to insure we had a crack at sharks as well. He put us on big fish straight out of the gate. He and his mate worked hard to keep us catching all day. He got us on a red snapper that is currently #1 on the big cash snapper fishing tournament. Here’s hoping it can hold for 5 more days! All in all couldn’t ask for a better charter to go with and we plan to run it back next year!

Excellent time, great family event
The crew, CPT Mike and Perry,were great! They took their time helping some novices the basics, then we were all having a phenomenal time. We asked for a trip with some big fish and they easily delivered. We were all worn out after a couple hours of landing some big ones. Recommend them for all that want to experience the best of Galveston fishing.

Great day on the water! Started off strong getting into some Black Drum and Speckled Trout. Caught several redfish, but couldn’t find a big one this go round, but that didn’t matter too us, we had such a great time.
