+38Charleston Fishing Excursions will take care of your next adventure in Charleston, SC, taking you on an inshore or nearshore trip. Anglers of all skills are welcome to join Captain Brent Welch. He’s experienced with teaching people how to fish or accommodating experienced anglers
Hop aboard Capt. Brent’s 22’ Pathfinder. This bay boat accommodates up to 6 guests and she’s powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. She features all necessary navigational and safety equipment. There’s also a cooler with ice where you can stash your food and drinks. Since space on the boat is limited, please don’t bring your cooler.
The inshore trip will take you fishing the waterways of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Your main targets for the day will be Red Drum, Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and Black Drum.
Capt. Brent will provide your fishing equipment, lures, live bait, and cover your fishing license. Make sure to bring your snacks, drinks, and sunscreen. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation, as long as they are not in glass bottles. Within regulations, you may keep your catch.
Times of the fishing trips are flexible depending on tides and the time of year.

We absolutely slayed fish all day long. Captain Brent knows all the spots. If you are in the Charleston area and want to catch some fish and have a great time contact these guys. They are awesome. Also great with kids and people with less experience. I can’t say enough nice things about the experience.

Brent kept us busy. He knew where to go and we must of hit 8 different spots & had bite at every spot. Took home 3 keeper's & lost probably 6. But where he went the fish were biting!

Half Day Trip – Inshore (AM) on June 18, 2023
We are not native to the Charleston area as we were in town for vacation. I booked Brent for a half day trip with my son. We were very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge Brent was as our guide. We are very familiar with the Texas coast in fishing for similar fish, but Brent’s experience and knowledge of the area was outstanding. We threw artificial and live bait throughout the morning and caught a handful of fish. In fact we completed the trifecta (red, trout, and flounder). We not only had a great time fishing, we also got a great history lesson on the area and how to fish it. Brent was very experienced and very prepared for our trip. We had a blast on the water with him.

Half Day Trip – Inshore (AM) on April 24, 2022
This was my second half day trip with Capt. Brent in less than a year. Took my adult son and his girlfriend. Boat is big enough for all of us to fish at the same time. Fishing started off a little slow but Capt. Brent didn’t waste time in unproductive spots so we moved until he found the fish and man did he find them. We were sticking trout and reds, one after another. Even had a few doubles. We opted to keep a few and he had them fileted before we got to the dock. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. He provides good equipment, too. Not the cheap half-spooled stuff I’ve been handed on other charters. Looking forward to fishing with Capt. Brent again.

Captain Brent, a Charleston local, has been on the water his whole life. He has been fishing with his dad and grandpa since childhood, and they inspired him to become a captain later. Before becoming a captain, he worked as a boat builder and a first mate on a charter boat. Captain Brent possesses extensive knowledge of the local waters. He enjoys sharing that with other people and taking kids fishing.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
