It's time for the ultimate fishing retreat! Book a vacation with Anakay Natural Reserve, located in an exclusive location which is rarely fished by others. There are a group of captains working here, who are all happy to take you out whenever you wish, for as long as you wish.
This is a natural and private reserve, with 2,500 acres by the Bita Vita River included in its upper portion. Only anglers stay at the fishing lodge on site – only 8 anglers per week. The lodge is in a hill 2 miles away from the river. The local fishing guides will take you every day to the best fishing spots and if you wish will prepare lunch for you in any of the beautiful river beaches with one of your many catches. Anything you do not eat should be released.
Included in the price of the trip are all your costs, including airfare in a jet from Bogota to Puerto Carreño, the accommodation, and all food and drink. You will sleep away from the river to enjoy a nice breeze during your sleep in a wooden cabin. The menu features typical llanos food, unless you have special requests. Drinks include soft drinks and beer. Hard liquor is not included. You will have an English speaking host who will be attending all your needs during your stay.
You are encouraged to bring your own gear but Anakay Natural Reserve can also supply gear for an extra charge and with notice.
You'll be targeting Peacock Bass (up to 20 pounds), Sargent & Butterfly (up to 6 pounds) and other species, like Payara, Pacu, Arawanas, Piranhas, and a variety of Catfish. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen, too, so have your camera ready!
You'll be fishing from canoes, which can fit 2 anglers in. This is a great way to test your skills and perfect them! You'll stay in cabins, with bunk beds and twin beds. There's a common kitchen area and a restaurant!
