What does your ideal fishing trip look like to you?  When I fish from Mattapoisett, I primarily fish for the famous Buzzards Bay porgy.  It’s a numbers and fun game.  We also get other species, but guys come for the porgy.  Fish with Black Rose Fishing Charters and make your dreams a reality today.

You’ll spend the day on a great sized 25’ boat, that has a 300 HP engine which will see you on top of the fish in no time at all. The cabin will keep you warm and dry on the ride out, and the bow is large enough to serve as a huge casting and fishing platform during the trip. The whole vessel gives you plenty of space to sit, fish, and move around.

The pairing of Capt. Rich’s knowledge of the area, along with top of the line navigational equipment, will make sure you stay on top of the fish all day long. You are sure to have an exciting and productive day with him.

There are a range of trips available, so there is something for every experience level. For those new to fishing, the inshore trip in Buzzards Bay will be perfect for the whole family. The limit of Porgy you can catch is a huge 40 in 20’ of water. Catch this delicious fish and fill up your freezer.

The rods and reels are all Okuma, and will not let you down when the fish are biting. No matter your age and experience, there is something for you with Black Rose Fishing. So what are you waiting for? Book today for a great adventure with Capt. Rich!

I love people. Every trip is different, so I don't feel like a taxi driver. I feel like a host showing people my world. I have access to many ports in Massachusetts, so I can get you to the fish that are biting. I love light tackle, casting to breaking fish, and jigging. I will also troll and use live bait as requested. Tuna fishing – everyone loves watching "Wicked Tuna," so why not live it? Best species on earth! I love Tuna and Sharks.
