Not only does he have experience, but your guide also has an excellent boat that will be your ride and fishing platform. Climb aboard his 48’ G&S sport fisher equipped with twin 600 HP Fiat engines that make it stable and swift on the waves. She’s a smooth fishing machine with plenty of room to accommodate up to 6 people.
On board, you’ll find everything you need for a bountiful fishing trip – outriggers to extend your reach, a flybridge to spot fish from afar, and all the fishing equipment you’ll need. Because there’s a private toilet and plenty of seating, you’ll travel in full comfort.
Capt. Matthew offers a variety of angling expeditions, and you make your choice depending on your targeted species. On nearshore trips, you’ll focus on fishing for different Grouper and Snapper. On the offshore trips, anything from Marlin and Sailfish to Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, and Wahoo is in the cards.
While Capt. Matthew is taking you to the secret fish hideouts, the friendly first mate will assist you with everything. He will even clean the catch for you after the trip. For his efforts, tips are much appreciated.

OMG! What a day!!!!!
4 Hour Shark Trip 6.30PM on June 11, 2024
Best fishing trip ever. The captain was very knowledgeable and super helpful. We caught a bunch of bait fish, which in itself was fun. Then we trolled for bigger bait, which was awesome. Then the sharks. When we landed the very large lemon shark, we had already decided it was the best vacation trip we had ever taken. Then we hooked up with a 10 foot bull shark. Experience of a lifetime for sure. We had a blast. This captain was the best. His mate was his son, who was the best mannered and hardest working young man that I've met in a long time. We will never use a different charter company again. This one is the one for us. Thank you Vengeance Charters!

6 hr trip with Vengeance Charters
6 Hour Trip AM High Season on June 21, 2024
We had a last minute need to book because our trip got cancelled earlier in the week with a different charter due to bad water/weather conditions. While that carried its own challenge as it turned out the captain had a different crew of guys waiting there to fish from a previous booking, he ended up getting both crews out there and all turned out well. We all enjoyed the process of fishing for our own live bait prior to a pretty exciting ride out to the spot where we fished for our keepers. We limited out on our red snapper 6 man limit! We also hooked into some large amberjack fish, Boneida, and a trigger fish (all out of season). Capatain Matthew’s two sons who deckhand for him were great and Cap put us on the fish enough to limit out. It was a great day on the water. I wish we would’ve booked and 8 hr trip, but it was a blast!!

We only had time to go out on a 4 hour trip, but it was great! Been going deep sea fishing for over 40 years and would recommend this boat and crew as one of the best!!

We (wifey, dog and I) had a great day fishing. The captain and crew was awesome and put us on the fish. We caught around 10 red snapper and 6 trigger fish. I would recommend this crew to anyone looking to catch some fish

Fishing is in Captain Matthew Pearson's veins, and ever since he could hold a rod, he fished Choctawhatchee Bay. He got his first boat when he was only 11 years old, and he spent every free moment on the water. Capt. Matthew started working as a mate when he was only 14, and by the time he was 20, he already earned his 100 Ton Masters Captain’s License. But the moment he caught his first Blue Marlin was when everything changed. From that point, he dedicated his life to chasing Billfish all around the world and has been incredibly successful in various fishing tournaments. Today, Capt. Matthew loves sharing his ample experience with his clients in Destin and putting them on great fish.
