Bahia Rica Adventures – Mono Congo
Bahia Rica Adventures can be easily described in 2 words – Roosterfish specialists! They are located on the Eastern side of the Nicoya Peninsula, which is a prime Roosterfish area.
This voracious and aggressive predator can reach the size of 100 pounds. The captain usually catches 50–70 lb fish on a fairly regular basis, but the average fish is around 25 pounds.
Roosterfish is not the only target, of course, and you can catch an array of other species, such as Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Needlefish, or Cubera Snapper. The captain has the equipment for serious popping and jigging, which is really fun, even though it can be hard. If you want to try fly fishing, please bring your own equipment.
Your adventure starts on a 25’ fishing machine. This Super Panga center console accommodates up to 4 guests, and there’s enough room for everyone to fish in comfort. She can reach the fishing spots very fast, as she’s powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine. The boat also features a private toilet, a tower, and lots of shaded areas.
Capt. Thomas will provide your fishing equipment, lures, and live bait. The trip price also includes drinks, snacks, and lunch, whether you booked a half-day or a full day. Fishing licenses can be bought online.
Fish with Bahia Rica Adventures and finally cross Roosterfish off your bucket list!
