Experience the ultimate Texas inshore fishing with Corks and Croakers! Capt. Mike has been fishing the Galveston Bay for the past 15 years and nothing can surprise him in these waters. He’ll gladly share a fishing adventure with you, whether you’re experienced or you’re fishing for the first time.

Capt. Mike runs trips from Galveston but you can also find him in Texas City. You’ll be fishing aboard a 22’ Sea Pro boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. This bay boat is powered by a 150 HP Mecury engine and features GPS and all necessary safety equipment. The boat also has a wireless trolling motor, a cooler, and a live bait tank.

Your main species for the day will be the Texan Big Three – Flounder, Redfish, and Speckled Trout. They are available in these waters year round, so you don’t have to wait for their season to come. You can keep the catch and the captain will clean it for you free of charge.

Capt. Mike also supplied your rods, reels, and lures. If you’re using live bait, that comes with an extra cost – $25/qt for shrimps and $15/doz for live croakers. Water and Gatorade are also included in the price but you can always bring your own beverages and some snacks.

Inshore trips are a great introduction to the world of fishing. You don’t need previous fishing experience and they are also family-friendly. With Corks And Croakers and a knowledgeable captain, you simply can’t go wrong!

Couldn’t have asked for a better captain! Very informative , learned a lot and a great teacher. As soon as we set out our first cast of the day we caught some nice keeper black drums and our day continued full of excitement with reds biting throughout the day. And when things got quiet Mike made sure to put us on to fish in different parts of the lake, very knowledgeable of the area around and when fish started to move. Would 10/10 recommend to anybody of any level of fishing Mike will make sure you take home a cooler full of fish!!

Captain Mike was fantastic! He took us to several different spots to give us a variety of fish to catch and was extremely helpful with instructing and guiding. We caught upwards of 40-50 fish (maybe even more, we started to lose count). I highly recommend booking with him whether you are an experienced fisherman or not!

I am the owner and the operator of Corks And Croakers and I have been fishing the Galveston Bay complex for over 15 years. Boating, fishing, and being on the water are the things I enjoy the most. I have participated in many charity tournaments and guided many anglers in preparation for such competitions. My biggest catch is a 29 inch Speckled Trout.
