Cape Boat Charters is based in Simonstown, South Africa. Join the crew for a fun and productive day on the waters in and around Cape Point and False Bay!
Cape Boat Charters is an environmentally-sensitive company. Their aim is to ensure a safe and unmatched experience on the water for all of their guests. Owner and skipper Alan Blacklaws has over 2 decades of sea-going experience and is familiar with the hottest fishing grounds. He strongly encourages catch and release.
You’ll spend the day aboard the ‘Destiny’, a 27’ Leecat offshore sport fishing boat. This beautiful vessel comes powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki New Age four stroke engines and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. Destiny is fitted with top-notch navigational electronics and other professional accessories. There is also a toilet on board for your comfort.
Stay close to the shore and target game fish around the famous Cape Point area. Fish with light tackle for Snook and Katonkel, or target Yellowtail using lures as well as bait. Head to the calm waters of False Bay and test yourself as you fish for Red Roman, Red Stump Nose, Bronze Bream, White Sump Nose, and Kob. Plenty to keep you busy!
Or why not test your skills and head out into the deeper oceanic waters? Your Skipper will take you to the area locally known as ‘Canyon’, which is close to the continental shelf. You’ll be trolling with lures for Yellowfin and Longfin Tuna, as well as fishing with light tackle for Dorado, Skipjack, and Yellowtail.
Everything you need for a successful fishing day is included in the price, from top quality rods and reels right up to the fishing licence. Drinks are provided on each trip, plus fruit on the inshore trip and lunch on the offshore trip.
Book a trip with Cape Boat Charters for the fishing adventure of a lifetime today. You might even see dolphins or whales for the cherry on top of a great day out!
