Join Abrimar Fishing Tour for your next fishing adventure in Mexico. Captain Mario Emilio has been fishing in the area since he was 10 years old and there’s hardly a fishing spot he doesn’t know of. He specializes in reef and deep sea fishing, so you can count on a variety of fish species during your day out.
Capt. Mario will meet you in Caleta Harbor, where you’ll aboard his 26’ Imensa boat. This center console accommodates up to 4 guests and there’s enough room for all of them to fish at the same time. She’s powered by twin 120 HP Yamaha engines, ensuring you’ll have a smooth ride. The boat features navigational and safety equipment, outriggers, downriggers, and a cooler for your drinks.
Reef fishing trips will take you after Snapper, Barracuda, Amberjack, Bonito, and Mackerel. These trips are great if you don’t have a lot of fishing experience, as your targets are less aggressive. For more adrenaline-pumped action, try out deep sea fishing! You’ll target Mahi Mahi and Blue Marlin most of the time.
If you want to go snorkeling, the equipment is available on the boat for each guest. Your captain will cover fishing equipment and drinks. You only need to bring some snacks, sunscreen, and sunglasses. It’s advisable to be at the marina 15-20 minutes before the trip starts.

Fish of a Lifetime with Mario & Manuel!
Great experience with Captain Mario and his first mate Manuel. Mario has an impressive educational background and has been fishing the area his entire life, this expertise in clear. Within an hour, we hooked into a huge King, biggest fish I’ve ever caught. Unfortunately, my wife became ill during the trip and we had to cut it short. I’m confident that with more time on the water, we would’ve caught even more. Mario was accommodating and made sure that we were treated with care. My wife felt taken care of by the team. Greatly appreciated. I will be back for more next time I’m in Cozumel. Book with confidence!!

Half Day – Deep Sea Fishing (AM)
Just enough excitement for the morning!
Mario and his first mate, Frank, took us out for a deep sea mission mainly targeting mahi mahi and the possible Marlin. We ran down to the south end of the island as he said that’s the best chance to catch fish. My wife and I are avid fisherman and have been in rough water before, however on a day like today someone who isn’t out on the water as much could certainly get sick. It was some of the biggest rollers I’ve seen, but Mario knew what he was doing and we felt comfortable in the boat. We saw a gigantic sea turtle and lots of flying fish. After a little over an hour we caught a nice Mahi Mahi. Little while later my wife caught a small black tip shark(Mario said isn’t very common), which she was very excited about as she loves sharks! Those were the only things we caught, however we had a good time. Mario is very knowledgeable and easy to talk with, not just about fishing, but about the island and things to do/places to eat. We ended the day cruising the shore while our Mahi Mahi was cleaned. Once we got back to the marina, Mario took us in his truck with a big filet of our fish to a local restaurant to eat. Overall it was a good experience and we would do it again. Thanks Mario and Frank!

Half Day – Reef Fishing (AM)
A very knowledgeable and friendly guide!
As an avid fisherman enjoying a week of vacation in cozumel I knew I needed to get a trip booked. We chose the AM reef fishing trip so we could get more bites. We had action literally the entire time! We caught snapper, red snapper, strawberry grouper, triggerfish, parrot fish and a few other species. Probably caught 40 or so fish in a few hours. We did lose a couple big bites but that’s fishing. Mario speaks fluent English and is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the water. His boat is very nice and very practical for a day of fishing. I have friends on the island that will be booking with him soon and I hope to book with him soon as well. If you are contemplating booking, just do it! You will not regret it.

Fantastic trip out!!
I’ve bass fished all my life in lakes all over Oklahoma. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at Dorado, wahoo or some bill fish. Finally had the opportunity with Captain Mario and his mate Leo and they put us on the fish! Back to back doubles on Mahi Mahi had my arm wore out! Great trip and highly recommend booking your next trip with Captain Mario! You won’t be disappointed!

Personal best barracuda
I had a fantastic time with Captain Mario and first mate Frank. We drift fished the bottom and caught grouper, grunts and trigger fish . We turned a couple smaller grunts into bait and caught a massive barracuda approaching 5'. A personal best for me. I will definitely be booking Abrimar fishing tours again next time I am in Cozumel and highly recommend them for anyone else wanting to have a great time and put some big fish in the boat.
