The Captain is Fernando Rosiello, a very experienced fisherman who was trained by the best IGFA captains from all over the world. He has seen it all: Blue Marlins, giant Tunas, and even bigger Sharks. He also won first place at the Martinique Blue Marlin Sportfishing Competition in 2012! The whole crew speaks Italian, English, and Spanish.
They run trips year round but the best season is during summer. This is when Mahi Mahi and Tuna swim in from the ocean to breed, so it's the best period to target them, as they're very hungry and often swim only a few miles offshore. It's pretty common to catch up to 30 or 40 fish per day during July and August.
In terms of sportfishing, the Adriatic Sea has always been kind to the fishermen, so you're very unlikely to return home without any catch. The captain usually goes anywhere from 2–35 miles offshore. The most common techniques are trolling and jigging (slow-pitch) but he's well-versed in other techniques as well.
The captain will provide gear and he invested a lot of funds in making sure it's all top notch equipment. The boat includes a minibar, local snacks, sandwiches (included in price), and the captain will even take care of the fishing licenses. Fish cleaning is also included. Tips are not included in the price!

Mi trovavo in puglia per un weekend e ho prenotato al volo una battuta di pesca con mahi sportfishing Puglia. Siamo partiti dal porto di Villanova con una coppia di Ragazzi simpaticissimi e molto PROFESSIONALI! Il capitano poi... giovane ma molto esperto con la passione della pesca nel sangue Non credevo ai miei occhi quando dopo aver raggiunto il punto conosciuto dal capitano, ho cominciato a sentire la canna vibrare e poi tirare in modo così deciso e potente che avevo quasi paura... Ebbene sì c'era un tonno e poi un altro e poi un altro ancora ... soddisfazione divertimento accompagnati dalla mia musica preferita è cio che mi resta di una meravigliosa avventura Assolutamente da ripetere👍

4 Hr – Speed Trolling/Spinning on April 3, 2019We were 3 clients (me, my girlfirend and my son) and we chose fast trolling for 4 hours. We caught several bonitos and false albacores and even a big mahi mahi. We had a great time! The crew on bord is very friendly and very experienced. Even though I loved fishing, I had never managed to dedicate a full day to tuna fishing. An experience absolutely worth repeating... I was in Puglia for a weekend and booked a fishing trip on the fly with Mahi Sportfishing Puglia. We departed from the port of Villanova with a couple of guys who were super friendly and very PROFESSIONAL! The captain... young but very experienced with a passion for fishing in his blood. I couldn't believe my eyes when, after reaching the spot the captain knew, I started to feel the rod vibrating and then pulling so hard and powerfully that I was almost scared... And yes, there was a tuna and then another and then another one... satisfaction and fun accompanied by my favorite music is what remains of a wonderful adventure. Absolutely worth doing again👍

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
